Located across from the Beja Castle this is a true Portugese experience. The restaurant specializes in the meats and tradional Portugese cuisine of the Alentjo region. They specialize in the black pork for which the region is famouse and we had it two ways. It was served with a traditional Portugese bread style accompaniement made in a cast iron pan which was excellent, one had asparagus within it. This is a family run restaurant with a great selection of Portuguese foods and local wines.I had Fish dish with rice and then a steak that l can only say you could throw away the steak knife as it was so tender and melted in the mouth cooked to perfection with a great local wine to complement the food.I had to try The desserts and can only say they finished of the meal perfectly This is a family run business and you can tell they have a great passion for cooking and making the customers feel at home and going that extra mile a credit to all the staff thank you for a great experience

Been there with friends. We tried all entradas and it was great experience. Nice service, nice restaurant, we spend here a wonderful time. Caracois were great. We will try it again.
