Restaurant serves great variety of quality traditional dishes. Portions are large so one meal is enough for two not so hungry bellies...service was a bit on the slow side but it was busy when we went. We had to ask for something twice as it was forgotten.

We took the wrong ferry from Lisbon, so we ended up in Barreiro, and after looking for a decent restaurant for over an hour, we found this cosy place. The waiter was suuuuper nice and helpfull, even though most portuguese people don't speak english, she did and deliverd us a very delicious meal. After she also helped us to get back to the ferry-station because we were lost... So if you find yourself in Barreiro, and like traditional portuguese food, you should go here!! A nice extra: they don't even have Coca Cola or Lipton, they make everything theirselfs in a traditional way!

We have are regular customers since we moved to Barreiro and it's probably our fav place in town. Its inexpensive and tasty :) The staff are very friendly and helpful! You guys, however, should reconsider the interior design and make it cozier and dim down the lights :) Its toooo bright in there and tables/deco feels like its "too cheap"! Either way, we will still come back because we simply love the burgers!

Nice cosy restsurant, friendly staff (apart from one), very expensive for some dishes though. We went as a treat on our last night hoping for a great meal as it is pricy but the sirloin steak was nothing special I was expecting much better from here in fact I had better steak in cheaper restaurants in Cascais. At first it was undercooked to my liking (I don't think they heard me say medium/well but the waiter seemed to be in a rush to take the order), so I had to send it back, although they did then kindly bring me fresh chips without asking. But the steak had no taste no sauce or seasoning and came with a bit of salad rather than veg, it was disappointing and bland. However drinks were good and the young waiter who let us try different aperitifs was very nice and helpful and I'm sure the fish dishes are great, my friend was happy with hers. Worth a try nice atmosphere and cosiness in this place.

Great for a mid-day break or a lively dinner with friends, the restaurant started out as a butchershop. Restaurant Talho Central was born from the accumulated knowledge of the founding owners, who have been at the forefront for many years of leading natio
Good selection of quality meats and wines. Good ambient, modern, and definitely the most original restaurant in the whole town. The service is slow at any time, and the restaurant is always packed. Make sure to 1) either come in early, or, 2) book in advance. You can also buy meat and wine to take home, as it's a gourmet butcher as well. The green olives are fantastic, and a must to take home. The beef tartar is disappointing, as it's not only meat, but a mix of meat with capers and mustard seeds, which makes it everything else except beef tartar. This is a great place to come for some proper steak.

After a few years, the return to the Tasca da Galega was a mixture of emotions. I found a mystic space, with history and many stories, where I spent a very pleasant evening. The menu is varied, the food a delight and have an excellent service. It is certainly my choice of restaurant in Barreiro. I loved it!

Unpleasant staff that doesn't care. Tables are cleaned with a bad smelling detergent that disturbs the surrounding tables meal. Too much smoke. Prices too high.

The last experience at this restaurant did not go very well. The feeling is that it was already better, although currently be bigger and be more spacious. I do not want to return, and I regret that because it was a reference in the city.

Modern restaurant whoâs core business is the Steakhouse who also offers several vegetarian dishes. Full bar available specializes in whiskey and signature cocktails!
Great place for a lunch, not only meat based!Everything has a perfect presentation and people helped us in selecting the best combination of main course, sauces and vegetable. Also for vegetarian there are interesting possibilities.Very nice and clean placeHighly recommended
