This restaurant is part of the Race Track on Highway 2. It just recently opened and will be open even when the race season is over.Pete Sok of Sophear fame in Red Deer is the Executive Chef. He won a competition on Chopped and has some fabulous flavours. We tried quite a few items on the menu including the fried cauliflower, firecracker shrimp rolls, steak sandwich, bacon, carmelized onions and mushroom poutine, homemade corndogs and chocolate banana nutella french toast for dessert. Most items were delicious and served in an attractive manner. We look forward to returning to trying more of the menu items soon.

SushiMaru Japanese Restaurant

First impressions are important, and the benches of the booth we sat in were covered in crumbs (or something). Wonder what the kitchen looks like... Also, the slightly disinterested and not so speedy service didn't help. The sound track was a bit loud, and eighties soft rock doesn't fit the theme. Otherwise the food was okay - it hit the spot for lunch. And we were pleased to see they had beer from Japan - so often "Japanese" beer is brewed in North America under license. But the Asahi we had was made in Tokyo.

As this restaurant is in our hometown we decided to finally check it out. After a recommendation from a friend we finally went for lunch during the week. We were not disappointed at all. Lunch was ordered, enjoyed and paid for in zbout 45 minutes. This was important to us to get back to the office in time. I really enjoyed my wonton soup which has been a favorite for a long time and they did a great job of it.Affordable, friendly and fast. A great combination.

South China Sea

Went for dinner. Very few diners. Buffet. Not good quality food, even for a buffet. Waitress polite and chirpy, but that could not overcome the poor quality of the food.Perhaps they are trying to cut costs; but better quality food would expect to bring in more customers and therefore better profits?Would definitely not go again.
