We came Saturday at 5:30 and it was just starting to get busy. No A/C and the music is loud so might want to sit outside (bar seating). You order your food at the front counter, but if you end up wanting more food or drink they do come to your table to check up on you. The tacos and papas fritas we had were very good. Nice decore.

We are staying at the Metterra right next door, so this was a logical choice for a quick lunch. One or two ordered fajitas but most had tacos and everyone was happy! A fiesta sampler started the meal and everything was washed down with some Mexican beers. All in all, decent food at OK prices, but the location was the topper for us.

We went to HUMA on a Saturday night a week or two ago, after trying to decide between the few good Mexican choices we haven't tried. Am I ever glad we chose this one! Even though it was prime dining time we had only a few minutes wait for a table, and we were fortunate to be seated at a four-top not a table for two, which would have been crowded with our order! We started with icy cold Mexican beers - Corona for me (I know too standard right) and a Pacifico for hubby - he loves that one every chance he gets! Then we ordered the guacamole and chips, and salsa and chips. There was a bit of miscommunication here - we wanted guac and chips with a side of salsa, but ended up with an order of each - which in the end was ok - because we pretty much ate every bit of both! The guac was lovely - not too much lime, nice amount of cilantro, the avocado wasn't smashed to oblivion but not too chunky either! The salsa was pico de gallo, and while I would have preferred it had a bit more liquid and heat, it was tasty! For mains hubby had the Tacos de Alambre de Res - beef, ham, bacon, peppers, onions, mushrooms, pineapple, piled on a plate with cheese, with tortillas on the side. He also ordered a side of rice and beans - which all combined into one amazing dish!I had the two taco combo - Suadero (beef brisket) and Pastor - oh my were those Suadero tacos lovely! I am a devoted pastor fan and I would have those suadero tacos any day of the week over pastor! We split carrot cake for dessert - it was lovely - not too sweet and very nice portion size for two people who had just eaten their weight in tacos and guacamole! The price was very good for dinner for two with a couple of beers, an appy each, main courses and dessert. We would definitely return. Highly recommend HUMA!
