Cheeseboard is a happening. Music changes daily as does the pizza. No choosing toppings, no delivery, no worries. What fresh and organic combination of cheeses and veggies they choose is always amazing. Our latest visit offered butternut squash on the pizza, the visits before than had peaches. Don't let the daily toppings or the huge line deter you - this is verifiably one of the most popular pizza places in America. And, always ask for a side of Green Sauce ($4 and worth x

Everything here is of the highest quality but the piece de resistance is the fresh fruit tarts. Fresh ingredients and a nice flaky crust - hard to beat and a must have. If you’re enjoying a treat just for yourself, go for the smaller tartlets which will give you a taste of what I’m talking about.

Two of us went for dinner early one week night. The restaurant quickly filled up with lots of families, mainly non-Asian customers. We were hoping for a nice reasonable meal but were totally disappointed. We had Mung Bean Cake -- tasteless, the sauce that came with it tasted like dilute soya sauce. The Jahp Chao (transparent noodles) had no spice at all; did not eat it but took it home and spiced it up with sesame seed, soy sauce, little wine, and then it tasted good. The Korean Miso Stew was just average. The Banchans (small side dishes) were subpar. All in all we were totally unimpressed. We understand that it is a popular restaurant because of its prices and the quantity of food served but the flavoring was not at all truly Korean. The service was efficient; the ambience is fine, but the most important thing is the food and that was not good. One of us is Korean and the other has travelled in Korea a lot.

Rivoli strives to be a hands on, moderately priced restaurant with simple and creative food, carefully selected wines and comfortable service in a warm and lively atmosphere. Rivoli’s distinction comes from the heart and soul of its owners and staff. The menu relies on what is seasonal, local and fresh, using mostly organic produce, sustainably caught fish and naturally raised meats and poultry. The wines are selected for their affinity with the food, and offer the best values from the cooler regions of California and the Old World. The dining room staff provides friendly and attentive service and the chefs and cooks are skilled artisans of their craft.
Came to celebrate another family birthday at a favorite local spot.
Wendy Brucker's dishes continue to deliver time after time. Especially liked the lobster souffle and lamb ragu over house made ravioli.
For those who haven't been here, expect delicious food and great service in a cozy dining area facing a lovely outside garden.

This is a great breakfast and lunch spot. They've been around for years yet still found a way to remain consistent. The chicken and waffles were great.

I shopped for all of my breads when I lived in Berkeley and make it a point to stop by when visiting now. Acme has--hands down--the very best breads. I always get their Olive Bread, Foccacia, and Cinnamon Rolls to start with. But everything there is delicious. Expect to wait in line most anytime you go and with the small parking lot, you will probably have to park on the street somewhere close by.

We ordered a half baked deep dish for take out. We got the Spinach and Mushroom which was a hit. This pie includes spinach, mushrooms, cheese and tomato sauce. This was easy to finish baking in the oven at home. With gentle treatment the crust stayed together and sat on the rack just fine.

The dishes are prepared here with an attention to detail and spicing that you won't find too many places outside of Asia. The shrimp and walnuts, Szechuan beef and chicken are all excellent. But so is everything else.

A fantastic casual but chic place for her friendly outings, and couples too. Delicious guacamole and chips, margaritas, and wonderful warm chocolate cake for dessert. Outdoor seating with heaters available, plus a snug loft upstairs takes care of overflow.

Chez Panisse is an elegant restaurant, with the interior design reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright interior architecture. The food is simply outstanding. There is but one option, the night‘s four-course prix fixe at $100 (plus taxes and 17% gratuity). The main course tonight was lamb with trimmings: excellent! Everything else was also very tasty. You have the option of bringing your own wine and paying a $35 corkage fee. The service is very good though not impeccable. The food is simply superb.
