RAMEN TAKARA is not your typical Japanese restaurant, instead of featuring tempura or sushi, we put our heart and effort into our ramen and rice dishes. We even make our own noodles everyday using the finest flour, mineral water and fresh eggs. Whether you are picking up a meal on the go, having a family dinner, or enjoying a drink with your friends, this is the right place to enjoy the refreshing and plesant dining experience. Bookings are not essential but we recommended that you make a booking in advance to avoid disappointment, especially on weekends!
If you are after authentic tasting ramen then you must go to Ramen Takara but make sure you get there early or book a table for big group because the place is always packed! Tan-tan ramen is the one of the best tasting ramen in their menu that I’ve tried. Two top side dishes worth trying: Agedashi tofu and pork gyoza side dishes are worth trying too.

Deep Creek Brewing Co. is a throw back to the days when you could head down to your local village, hang out with great friends, drink exciting brews, and eat fantastic food. All in an environment which exuded the timeless value of fine, hand-crafted quality. All our beer is made onsite in gleaming stainless steel tanks, on display behind the bar for you to see. We are situated beside the beach in beautiful Browns Bay, Auckland, with amazing views of the harbour and Rangitoto. So come down and try our fantastic flavour fuelled brews and eats, crafted for flavour obsessed mates.
I've travelled from Australia to be part of this lunch and how brilliant it was.
The staff are fantastic, the selection of beers is brilliant and the good is exceptional for such a low key venue. Scotch fillet was sensational and perfectly cooked, with chefs accommodating special request for "Carpet Bag" style.
Thoroughly impressed with everything about this place and can't wait to enjoy some more fabulous hospitality before flying back to Aussie.
Cheers crew. Great stuff indeed

We are a family owned business who are passionate about great food, delicious drinks and wonderful service. Join us for your next occasion. Adjacent to Westfield Shopping Mall, Albany. Opposite the Albany Lake on Civic Crescent.
Popped in for a pre-dinner snack as off to see a film and ordered a bucket of fries and three different types of drinks ... wait time was minimal and the only negatives were that it was near full capacity and very noisy and difficult to have a conversation between the four of us and I didn't like the oil used for cooking the fries ... the oil flavour overpowered the potato flavour.

I have been going here regularly for over a decade, my first visit after the change of owners and unfortunately it was terrible!
The menu has been cut in half! The salmon on the antipasto platter was not fresh! The smoked chicken was out of a packet... The apple dessert contained no apples, was extremely hard and dry- resembled a bad supermarket muffin!
Staff were friendly until we complained, we were ignored after they bought our dessert to the table- we waited for someone to come take our dessert plates so we could show them how hard the dessert was but we were not waited on again.

We have visited several times. The food is good but as with many Chinese Restaurants many dishes cooked the same way end up tasting similar. Good caramelization of most meat dishes and you have to question yourself, am I eating Pork, Chicken or Beef. Worth trying if you are into eating Chinese.

Beautiful beach front café with awesome coffee and delicious food. Everything I have tried has been super yummy (Anita's pies are to die for) and the staff are very friendly. Great place to take the dogs and enjoy the atmosphere.

Ate here saturday night with family. Although the kitchen was soon to close welcomed us without fuss. The service was great and the meals were duly served. Excellent servings and well presented. My steak was cooked to perfection and the duck pate was delicious. Wont be long before im back. Well done team.

I ate here twice during a recent visit to the Albany campus of Massey University (12 minutes walk). On both occasions I ordered food to take away to my room at the Albany Executive Motor Inn which is a couple of minutes walk from the restaurant. This is a very popular place to eat steamboat-style food, dumplings and the kind of food that is not generally on offer at ordinary suburban Chinese restaurants. For example, there are lots of dishes that use offal (liver, gizzards etc). On both nights the customers tucking into food at Golden Steamboat were one hundred percent Chinese and Asian folks - always a good sign. The food I ordered was excellent and I only wish i had been there with a bunch of other people so that I could have sampled more of the dishes. Prices were very reasonable. Note, though, that credit cards are only accepted for bills over $50.
