Went here with colleagues whilst working locally. Food is excellent but be careful with prices if they recommend dishes. We had the Iberian ham which was superb but was 20 euros. Compared to the other recommended dishes at 2-3 euros this was excessive.
Service good and food tasty and varied. Good selection of wines too.

Four of us went to this place. It was a little bar in a little street and we went in to be greeted in Spanish and there was a bullfighting on the T.V. over the doorway, the tables wete covered in bullfighting postersand there was a long line pf tapas on the left along the bar. We sat at one of tables and given menus in Spanish, but then a waiter came over and gave us in English and Spanish. We ordered some wine and set off trying to sort out what we were going to have. Eventually the waiter came back and suggested the shellfish mixture, we all said o.k.. when it came there was langostine, crevettes, gambas and clams. All were delicious, and fresh. Then he suggested the poupurry grande for four again we said o.k. when it came we all dived in , it was a ball of ice cream, with flan slices, melon slices, walnuts, cream, kiwi fruits, again it was soon polished off. They put a carafe of sweet desert wine on the table, it had a spout and we had to try drinking it by pouring out directly into the mouth. Great fun, great food, great atmosphere. The best meal we have had in months.

Wow - this place is something else. Don't be put off by the small frontage in a backstreet. As a foodie I'm always searching for the ultimate local experience. El Callejon certainly delivers. The snug bar and warren of rooms offer the ambience, suited waiters deliver stylish and amiable 5 star service and the menu delivers the substance and value for money. I can't recommend this establishment enough for local culture, history and produce.

Everything you order in this place is guaranteed to be delicious. Absolutely everything on the menu is a triumph. The tostas are specially recommended, as well as the fried cheese with confiture.

Spent the morning in museums and was ready for lunch. Found L'arruzz and chose a table outside in the shade. Had a look at the menu and decided on the Menu del Dia which had excellent and unusual choices. The Greek salad starter was beautifully...MoreThnank you very much for the time and opinion given. It is a pleasure for us to know that you spent a really good time at the restaurant and enjoyed all the food. Hope to see you soon in another visit.

We visited here recently. Being from Australia we usually eat early and were waiting at 8.30 when the restaurant opened. The young waiter who met us spoke failry good english and was extremely helpful. He showed a genuine interest in us and provided excellent service. We established during the night that he was the owner's son who was at university and helping out in the restaurant. The food was nice and the price was reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone visiting this city. We don't know the name of the young man who looked after us but his parents should be proud of him.
