When we clearly tell you, please don't clean my room and hang up a do not disturb sign and come back from a long walk to find my room cleaned.....I had money, meds, jewelry unsecured because i made it verbally and physically clear that i didnt want my room cleaned. The room is HOT 79 degrees and the thermostat doesn't work. I'd stay here again because the dining room and staff are wonderful but it would have to be a waterside room because they are quiet and cooler in temp.

We stopped for supper after a day cruise to see glaciers. This informal place offers indoor and outdoor seating at rustic tables. The menu is short but everything is fresh and locally sourced. My salmon burger had a fresh fillet, nicely prepared. We enjoyed our supper.

Called in November and the town has pretty much shut down. All the waterfront kiosks that service the cruise ships are closed and frozen over. One needs to remember this town is a working town, so don't expect much. But what a location. Amazing. This pub was pretty much the only place that was open. Some of the locals are eating there so don't expect them to fall over you because you are a visitor. The service was prompt and we had a couple of bottles of Alaskan Amber with our halibut and chips, which was delicious. Couldn't fault it.

This small cafeteria, reached through a lovely gift shop, offered us a good choice of soups, sandwiches, salads, and pies. I opted for the vegan navy bean soup and tortellini salad on greens with feta and peppers. Everything was fresh and really delicious. We sat near the fire and warmed up on a chilly, rainy day. The staff was efficient and pleasant. Despite this being a cafeteria there was a friendly ambience.
