Excellent cooked food and very nice assortment of mixed drinks - but expensive and plenty of good options closer to town. Good place for locals - not good if you are a tourist that has had good sushi anywhere else in the world. Sushi here was terrible - half frozen on giant blobs of rice. We NEVER leave over sushi that we ordered but we left half of our order unfinished. Go hear for good views and decent (albeit very slow) service and if you feel like a drive out of town. Avoid if you are in the mood for good sushi and have experienced good sushi elsewhere.

Happy Face Restaurant

I took four hangry college kids here to get the mission done during our recent trip to Homer. The menu is broad and has things are great and things are are.....well.....so so. Sesame chicken didn't impress. Spicy Korean Pork was an eye opener though. Prices are typical for the Homer Spit, which is to say a bit elevated. But that's the spit. This place could be realistically be in any small town in America as far as family run Asian restaurants go. Decor is muted and simple, service is generally friendly (especially if you know a few Koreas phrases) and the food is hit or miss depending on what you order. Personally, I love this kind of place once I discover what the strong entrees are. But if you want a "fancy" place you're probably in the wrong spot.

We always look for Asian cuisine (Chinese, Japanese) when we travel and decided to try Youngs based on the most recent, positive TA reviews. The servers were very friendly and helpful about the menu. The menu is extensive with Chinese and sushi choices. We shared wonton soup, pot stickers, an egg roll, and the shrimp with vegetables. The food was good and arrived quickly. There were several other parties in the restaurant who seemed to be enjoying their food, also.
