I was in Allepey for a friend's wedding and booked a room at Kovilakam resort. Spoke to Leela [ btw she is just an SMS away] who organised pick up and drop to/from the station, and kept in touch through my stay, checking in to make sure all was ok. Infact, I checked in sunday morning 6am and checked out sunday evening 8.30pm, which was something she organised for me [ breaking the 12noon to 12noon checkout they typically follow]. I was the only one at the property, and that added to the experience, it was absolutely bliss walking around the property, and just lazing about. Food was good, service was prompt and room was beautiful, not to forget the views you get as you step outside the building... Uff, breathtaking... What more does one need, right? Next time around, I shall try the houseboat and other services they offer. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone heading to Allepey, but will advice that you organise a vehicle if you wish to do some sight seeing. The property is a good 5-6kms from civilisation, and you wont find autos or any other vehicles from here. Infact, there is no uber/ola service as well. As for the tariff, it is on the higher side, but well, it is worth it..

4 rooms on the beach, 3 of which are sea-facing rooms and open onto a sizeable balcony from which to enjoy the blazing sunsets. All 4 spacious rooms are furnished to an exceptionally high-standard but are designed to maintain the style of Keralan heritage homes, both in colour scheme and through the use of our signature original teak-wood arch windows.
Lovely property situated right at the beach, very good management, it's a great place and we regret we couldn't stay longer. Rooms are spotless clean, recently built/renovated with very spacious bathroom and beautiful decor. There's attached balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast which is included was yummy and big in quantity as per two people. My mum loved the coffee so much that she talked about it for next 2 days ? I really liked the tiles at the property and aesthetic. Cookie in the room was a cute gesture too. Rahul was lovely and very hospitable, he also managed our backwaters sunset trip in just few minutes. It was perfect and I really recommend this place.

We short listed this resort for our breakout after the long pandemic induced lockdown. The place provided us with just the right dose of stress relief we needed. The location is just perfect. It is well away from the bustling city and traffic. It is a very peaceful and blissful ambience. The property has only 4 rooms and hence you won’t have much of a crowd over there. If your party has enough folks that you book all the 4 rooms then you pretty much have all the property to yourself. The rooms serve the right amount of comfort. The staff are very courteous and go over and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Best part is that you don’t order from a menu. Just let the staff know ahead of time as to what your taste buds crave for. They serve you with the most delicious food you can think of. It was undoubtedly one of the best experiences ever. This trip was with my friends and now I am already planning my next visit with family over there.

Excellent property located literally a stone’s throw away from the beach. Basic clean rooms with wifi and AC. Rahul, the host is a gem of a person. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provided us with whatever was necessary for us. Being vegetarians, eating out was a bit of problem for us. But Rahul and his entire family cooked us delicious vegetarian meals everytime and was more than willing to travel 6-7 kms to get vegetarian food for us from a restaurant. He made us feel a part of his family and welcomed us into his house, which is exactly what we expect from a homestay, the warmth of a home. Rahul can communicate well in English, Malayalam and Tamil. Will definitely recommend you to book your stay with them. If you are planning a trip to Mararikulam stay with them for atleast a couple of nights to experience their warmth and love.

This is not a resort though it has resort in the name. It is an old lodge looks like renovated. 5 stars for the location. Right on the beach and has private access to the beach. The upstairs rooms have balcony and all have nice sea view. Plastic chairs and table placed there so that we can sit there and enjoy the sea breeze. Rooms are OK. Hot water available. They have a small private carparking too. Foods were not available due to Covid. There was no TV in the room. Good place to enjoy sea breeze

I recently stayed in Pearl Beach Heritage home and it was one of the best experiences I have had in all my trips. After hunting for a good and affordable place to stay bear the Alleppey Beach, I finally found this place through Tripoto and made the best decision of my life by staying here. The place is run by a brother-sister duo who are the nicest people you can meet and the place feels like your home with the cleanliness, the heritage feel and the art. Food was simply amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Alapuzzha.

I spent 2 days at mr Sunil homestay and it was an amazing and super relaxing stay. Their house is gorgeous and facing the river. The food was delicious and always served at a beautiful table in the garden. We love the place!

We stayed at Delight Homestay for our first four nights after flying in to Cochin early in the morning. David and Flowery put themselves out to have our room ready earlier than advertised, and gave us an excellent breakfast as well. David was also very helpful with arranging places to see in the area. Very comfortable and excellent value - all in all an ideal place to stay.
