We were traveling down US 280 and happened to chance upon La Posada so stopped for lunch. Had a really good, well-prepared Mexican meal and enjoyed pleasant, attentive service from our staff there. I would go back, next time I'm in Alex City!

3. Carlos Mexican Grill

We enjoy Carlos almost every Tuesday and sometimes in between. The staff is always very friendly and Carlos the manager, when he is available, comes to our table and personally welcomes us. The food is very delicious and plenty of it. They are in the process of giving the restaurant an uplift and it is looking really nice.

We stopped at this restaurant because we wanted to eat quickly. We did eat quickly, but did not get served quickly. The food was good, the restaurant was clean but it took nearly 15 minutes to get our food. We went inside to order. There were four or five people working in the kitchen. One, apparently, had her son there and she stopped to go to the counter to talk to him and give him food and drink once or twice. There were four people ahead of us in the line. Our order was taken promptly, but it took 14 minutes to prepare our standard menu item with no changes or special requests. Other customers' meals were likewise delayed. There were at least three people in the preparation area and two others wearing headsets. One of the two took our order at the counter and seemed to do all the work. The other one was the one whose "son" was in the restaurant. We were in a hurry because a bad thunderstorm was approaching.the restaurant and the roadway. We did not make it to our car before the rain started. When I stepped off the curb of the sidewalk onto the parking lot, I slipped on the surface. The concrete gutter has apparently been painted black. This survace is VERY slippery when wet. I did not fall down, but a less agile or older person might have fallen. This needs to be fixed.
