Definitely recommend this classy, tasty Mexican inspired Taberna. Had standard enchilada and practically licked my plate clean. The house iced margarita was perfect. Service was attentive professional, and fast. Great for a fun group dinner as the atmosphere was lively.

My family and I ate here from a suggestion of local Samford students. I can see why the kids are drawn to it...quick, cheap, busy location. I thought it was good, but definitely not the best taco I had ever had. Also, be prepared to wait....we've never seen the line when it wasn't out the door.

Rojo is a great place to bring a group of friends. They have plenty of seating and a great menu. They have a mexican food menu and an american food menu, which is great for big groups. They also have great local beers and great drinks. Thanks so much for the review! We love big groups. We also have a side room that you can reserve for parties :)

Located in Birmingham's Lakeview District, we serve authentic, gourmet tacos and Spanish style tapas with a Southern twist.
If you like just a taste of this and that - and who doesn't? This is the place for you. Tapas are perfect for a little taste. The regular menu here is also very good and plenty to order if you plan on sharing with others at the table. I ordered three pork tacos and they were delicious! I can imagine how busy this great restaurant is during the summer. Don;t let that dissuade you. It is worth a wait.Service is good and friendly.

Los Arcos is located in a dying shopping center. The exterior & interior are attractive and neat. The wait staff is friendly. I ordered the lunch special Chili Relleno and Taco. My daughter ordered the Steak Fajita Quesadilla. They also provide Chips & Salsa, as the appetizer. We were very pleased with our meal, and we would return here. RJT

The hubby and I went with another couple on a Wednesday night. It took a while to be seated, but spaces at the bar were available and we didn't have a problem waiting. Service was super friendly and reasonably fast for as full as they were. I got the al carbon street tacos. Fantastic! Hubby got a chicken burrito. It stole the show! Huge plate of food. Wine was only $4.50/glass because of a special. Cheese dip and chips were on point. My friends shared the salmon. Plenty of food for two. I will definitely go back. Yum!

Tried this place with my millineal son a few days ago. Both items I had were suggested by the order taker/cashier who stated that these were âhouse favoritesâ. My starter of raw tuna over Doritos was inedible. The flavors clashed terribly and the visual presentation of the dish added to itâs disgusting nature. The âburritoâ that was rolled in sushi rice was just as bad. There is obviously no âchefâ preparing food here. If you are a foodie, donât waste your time or money here.

Five of us ate here on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately, no alcohol served on Sundays. We all ordered different types of quesadillas. My steak quesadilla was marginal with very little seasoning. The same cd be said of the chicken and veggie quesadillas. The cheese dip was good. Also note that I'm not a huge Mexican fan and maybe this is why. Perhaps margaritas would have helped.

Our family and friends have been eating at El Cazador for many years. We have had consistently good experience with the food and service. I had the combination dinner with 1 each taco, enchilada and chalupa. My husband enjoyed his shrimp tacos but said the sauce (on the side) was too hot for him. You might want to sample it before you pour it over the tacos. Our server made sure our drink glasses were filled and that the chip basket was full of warm chips.

Several friends and I were in town for a track event at Barber. I am very particular about Mexican food as I spend lots of time in Albuquerque (where the food is divine). I was shocked to find flavorful and well prepared Mexican in Irondale! The place was not crowded... the locals are really missing out. I had a tamale (the masa was superb) and a chile relleno, the ground beef was excellent. The menu is extensive, so I assumed it was going to be the usual bland fare. No so!Prices are excellent and the ambience is casual and adequate. Nice Big screen TVs. Check it out!
