Things to do in Auburn
We had our first taste of Barberitos on a catered lunch, enjoyed so much went to eat in. This is a serving station set up, you watch the server dish your meal to your liking. They have anything you might add to your taco, burrito or bowl. Meats were steak, ground beef, regular chicken and spicy chicken. I got the regular chicken bowl( to hold down on my calories) added rice, both black and pinto beans, lettuce, cilantro, sour cream and avocado. They load your tray with excellent thin chips and I ordered a cup of cheese dip. Wife got a veggie burrito, they even grilled her onions and peppers. Staff was very nice, patient and helpful with large servings. Restaurant is bright, clean and new, set up for eat in or carry out,
Been here several times after football games with my daughter. Even though they are super busy, the service is not that bad and the food is good. My only complaint is there isn't nearly enough seating. This is a Moe's that is pretty small, which is surprising considering its location and nearness to Toomer's Corner and Jordan-Hare. They need to add on!

Probably the best Mexican restaurant in town, and I think I've been to all of them. I went on a Monday and the fajitas were absolutely awesome. Served hot and seasoned very well. Service is fast and friendly. The blue margaritas are awesome on special too. I really enjoyed myself. TVs available for watching sports.
Where to eat Pizza food in Auburn: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Visited Auburn's newest Mexican restaurant for dinner on their third night of operation. Nice atmosphere and decorations, but unfortunately that's where my favorable impression stopped. Ordered a small cheese dip to go with the obligatory basket of chips and it was just that--small. As in smaller than several of those offered by the other THREE Mexican restaurants on the same mile-long stretch of Opelika Road. Ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla and my wife had an enchilada--both were similar to those offered at every other Mexican restaurant in town. Not bad--but nothing to set El Rey apart. Service was fair, but not what you would have expected on opening week on a slow night. I expected a special effort to win over first time customers. I didn't get it. Prices were generally in line with the competition. On the positive side, El Rey does offer a dizzying number of unusual dishes for a Mexican restaurant, including a large number of seafood options such as lobster and crabmeat and even, oddly enough, a quail dish. So if you are looking for something different, it might be worth a try.

Best Mexican restaurant in Auburn. Food is always great and service is always friendly and attentive. Very good chips and sausa and they never let chip basket get empty. Kid friendly with good children's menu. Great Mexican food at reasonable prices and great Margerrittas.
We heard about this place from our international friends. It was not your typical American version of a Mexican restaurant. Mama is in the back cookin'. The chicken on the grill was VERY good along with salad, tottileas and beans. They cheerfully made a special order chicken quesadilla and it was good too. Most authentic around.Official name Durango Taqueria y Carniceria.

I have eaten at Mexican restaurants in 45 different states and multiple Canadian provinces. Itâs my favorite kind of food bar nun. That being said I have a special bracket that only the best of best Mexican restaurants that Iâve visited make it into. This is one of them. The service was excellent and you canât say enough about the quality and deliciousness of the food. Unlimited salsa and chips along with huge glasses that get refilled before you empty them are just part of the great service here. If youâre in auburn and you want Mexican, I wouldnât waste my time looking anywhere else if I were you.

Had a nice dinner her with my son. Large restaurant so can handle a crowd. In an old Johnny Carino's. Service was decent but not overly friendly. Chips and salsa kept coming and were tasty along with fish bowl size Margaritas (Not very strong). I'd rate the food as good but not outstanding. Definitely plentiful. Took half home. Probably will return. Prices were reasonable.

We tried a couple different margaritas and they both were good.....mango and pineapple with blackberry. Both flavors had the right amount of fruitiness. We had queso dip before our meal and that was REALLY good. The tacos are all very unique. They have a couple of "traditional" flavors but most are different. Each kind we tried was good. It was a Friday night and rather busy but service was still good
