My sister suggested we eat here and went on about how good the food was. This isnt your typical Japanese restaurant where you go sit around a big grill, this is more of a sit down and check out the menu type place. They also have an area for traditional Japanese cultural dining where you sit on the floor to eat (a very nice area). We went on a Wednesday for an early dinner and found that they have happy hour from 4:30pm to 630pm with a limited menu. You can still order from the regular dinner menu but we chose the happy hour menu. For $15 you chose 2 sushi rolls and your entree (there's probably 10 or 12 rolls to choose from and 5 entrees) They also have Kirin Japanese beer for $2 and great deals on saki. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and the California roll and I'll honestly say they were both the best I've ever had. I had chicken teriyaki as my entree and it was great also. It wasn't super sweet like most restaurants and tasted more authentic. We met the manager and told her how much we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and she was very thankful and so nice. Our waiter was great and we even had other customers who are regulars tell us this was their favorite Japanese restaurant in all of Birmingham. I HIGHLY recommend trying it out. When we were leaving around 530pm they were already getting busy so keep that in mind. I give it 5 stars!

Visited twice on a trip to see our daughter in Alabama. Food, staff and service first class. Everything we tried was superb, and with a party of six everyone was delighted. Reasonable priced as well, especially when the wine was on offer.

America's original "sushi burger bar," The Cowfish features an inventive menu including innovative sushi rolls, craft burgers and - of course - Burgushi - a cutting-edge fusion including sushi rolls created with burger ingredients and sandwiches made with
I have never experienced a place like this! The atmosphere is really quirky and fun. My favorite is the Cowfish Bento Box which is a mix of a burger and sushi. It's the perfect dish for your first time going. The place is super fun and great to go to with friends. This is also a great place to take kids!

Service was fast and efficient. Typical of a chinese restaurant. Little regard for people wanting to talk or socialize before the meal. Having said that, the food is tasty. Each dish had its own taste, unlike many chinese restaurants where no matter what you order tastes very similar. Restaurant is attached to a chineae grocery store so you can browse everything needed for cooking chinese food. A good value for the cost.

Nori Thai and Sushi serves up hand-crafted sushi rolls and Thai favorites in Birmingham, AL!
I love curry and massaman, but I had never had a curry with avocado and it was wonderful, I will be going back as often as we can. It makes everything at time of the order, so be prepared to wait for your dish, which is very much worth the wait.

P.F. Chang's is a restaurant concept that honors the 2,000-year-old Asian tradition of wok cooking and believes in making food from scratch every day in every restaurant. With a Farm to Wok food philosophy at its core, P.F. Chang's chefs hand-roll dim sum
Enjoyed a happy hour visit to PF Chang's at the Summit Mall in Birmingham. 5-6 they have special pricing on some of their wines by the glass, appetizers, beer and some cocktails. Entered the restaurant just after 5 pm, walked over and took a seat at the bar. Shortly after being sat the bartender on duty came to inquire if I wanted to order. I didn't get his name and he didn't have a name tag on. Although upbeat he didn't do anything to build a rapport with me by finding a commonality. Service would have been enhanced had he found some hospitality to use with me. I ordered a glass of cabernet blend and a lettuce wrap. Both priced at $6.00.Food was served quickly after ordering. The lettuce wrap was very good but the lettuce pieces small and didn't really allow for wrapping up as is the normal for PF Chang's. I ordered a second glass of wine and a tempura calamari and vegetables. When I received my check I noticed that this appetizer was rung up at the full $9.00 price and when asked the bartender said I ordered it after 6pm. Hmm, I didn't think so but oh well I didn't argue it. I wish he had come to me before 6 to ask if I wanted anything else. All in all, a good experience that could have been made better if the bartender had turned on some hospitality. On their most recent health inspection in January 2019 the restaurant scored just 90 showing that they do have some important sanitation issues to fix to get their score back up over the very good range of 95+.

This is a restaurant and Asian supermarket combo. Market to the left and restaurant to the right (same building, same entrance). We are glad we got there before noon on a Sunday as it got very crowded right around noon. The restaurant area is huge compared to the space of the market.I would have given a 3.5 if I could. The food was good enough and tasted close enough to being authentic. I was kind of expecting more, though, in terms of choices. I felt the menu mostly had the more common Americanized Chinese food. Whatever we got were good but very salty - fried rice, stir fried mushroom and veg, flounder, beef noodle soup.

This is my new favorite sushi spot. The sushi was very fresh and they had some great choices. It's a very small and intimate restaurant with a fun ambiance. The specials from 5-6 happy hour are great. We did the jinsei special roll then we got foie Gras. And a mixture of a few other rolls. Can't wait to return

Came here on a recommendation from a local. This place had one of the best panang curries Iâve had. I would absolutely recommend the panang curry chicken and the potstickers. The guys I was traveling with really enjoyed the sushi as well, not my thing.

We chose Homewood as an overnight rest stop on our way to FL with another couple. We all like sushi so we were glad to discover Okinawa nearby our hotel. They offer a wide variety of rolls and other food choices. They efficiently made good sized rolls for us at a fair price. Nice quality atmosphere. We left full and satisfied.
