All the Western Sizzling Steak Houses have closed in our home town, so when we saw this one we just had to go. We decided to try the buffet instead of ordering from the menu. The steak was just ok. They have small pieces in two separate bins; one is well done and the other is medium. Both were over cooked. The veggies offered was the usual fair with baked & mashed potatoes, green beans, broccoli & others. Salad bar was fresh and tasty.By far the best item we had was the cheese cake! Yum! I could have had two!

Being from Wisconsin this was our first experience with a Captain D's. It is essentially a fast food seafood place. My wife and I shared a platter which was enough food for both of us as well as a some clam strips. I enjoyed the fish which was very tasty. Overall it was a cool experience to try something different that we don't have in Wisconsin.

I love the lunch buffet. When I think of a pizza buffet, I think of Cicis and Stevie Bees. This place however, far exceeds both. The buffet features lots of pizza that have a fairly wide variety of toppings, as well as pasta, breadsticks, and dessert. Although, they also have wings and chicken fingers which are great. They only have the buffet at lunch monday through friday. When I can't get the buffet I get different things, however everything I had is good. Also the buffet includes iced tea or water.

heard about this old house turned restaurant. thought it'd be neat to try. it's old but cute. different rooms make it quaint but upon entry, there are tables setup right near the check-out which seems awkward for patrons. one room closed off with long dining table (looked like the nicest small room for intimate dining with family). you pick a room and table then they bring your menu and drink order. One room is the buffet line but it's ONE trip only. Board tells you 1 meat + 2 sides $7.95 or 1 meat + 3 sides $8.95 plus roll or cornbread and so on. Strawberry butter was interesting but tasty. Choices were chicken tenders/hamburger patty which was very dark (almost black, burnt looking), country fried steak and gravy; sides were creamed pots, green beans, black eyed peas, mac/cheese, turnips, and so on. The meats were not warm enough or great but the sides were very good. Think you should get a little more than what they serve you. The tea was good, the server was very nice and attentive. was told you can get veggie soup and drink for $3.95. Good deal for those who don't cook much and eat out a lot, especially in winter months. You can order off the menu for about the same price and get some sort of salad or sandwich with chips. I like the "idea" of the place but the home needs some love and sprucing up and the meats need improvement. No desire to return but would come back and try something different if the opportunity arose. Right behind the "square" off South Broad. Could be a real gem if someone would invest a little more time and money in it. They said the upstairs was storage and was closed off but you can see how it was blocked off and it was not attractive. If it was fixed up for dinner parties or special occasion rentals like family reunions at the holidays; that would be awesome.

Stopped there to meet family for breakfast during Thanksgiving weekend. Good food and good service at a very very good price. Nice clean restaurant with very friendly staff. Itâs great when eggs over medium are served just right. Wifeâs order was slightly wrong but they quickly and cheerfully made it right for her. Put it on your list as a place to eat when you are in Scottsboro.

KC's BBQ is a family owned local restaurant located on Lake Guntersville in lovely Scottsboro, Alabama. We are open 7 days a week, serving the area's best BBQ, burgers, wings, wine, and local craft beer, at the best prices on the lake, in a casual family
This is a great find. The food is always fresh, excellent and tasty. Always. The service is friendly. And the view is fine too. You could not ask for a better experience. Except, oh yeah, it is inexpensive too. I hate to write this review, because if people know just how good it is, it will get crowded quickly!

My wife had the crab legs and I had the blackened ribeye and both dishes were out of this world. The attention to detail was phenomenal and the service was absolutely great. Our waitress name was Jessica Gannon and Linda the bartender / owner would come up to us at different times to see how we were doing. What was really great was while we were eating we were looking out at 27 square miles of river it was beautiful!

A morning trip to Scottsboro suddenly turned into lunchtime. We searched TripAdvisor for gluten-free options, but no success.Calls to several top-rated places yielded nothing. We know Ruby Tuesday's from Nashville, but here, we learned that Ruby Tuesday's now has gluten-free options, like a gluten-free hamburger bun (a brioche, maybe?).Ruby Tuesday's is always reliable and good. Our server, Jessica, was especially helpful, and careful to make sure we were aware of gluten-free options, and she pointed out other foods some of had ordered, which the gluten-free eaters SHOULDN'T eat.

If you just have to have a homemade hamburger but donât want to prepare it yourself, then this is the place to go. Like me, if you are cooking for one, this is where I like to go for a burger. Good desserts too.

Menu items we had on this trip:Southwest egg roll starterPork bbq baked potatoPulled pork version of cheese steak sandwich and friesThe starter was good with an interesting texture. The roll was more bread-ey than egg roll wrappers. Held onto the ranch dip it is served with well. Pork bbq potato was heaping with meat and the taste was good. It became much better when you add the sweet bbq sauce they provide. The cheese steak was good, made much better by adding the bbq sauce and a little pepper. This unique version of bbq pulled pork with peppers and cheese is a creative sandwich. Service..... a little scattered. It was after lunch rush on a Friday so I will chalk it up to that. Overall good experience and they even have a Viagra clock!
