Opelika finally has its own brewery! And they produce excellent beer. The brew pub is large and plainly decorated. They are better brewmasters than decorators. They offer a good selection of beer but they run out of some of my favorites on a regular basis. I am still a fan. I bought a growler (takeaway container) and I always leave with 64 extra ounces of beer. They also serve pizza, but I have never had one.

Lively and fun atmosphere and good service was a good start. Fried pickles rival any I have had anyplace. Sweet potato fries were good, but not exceptional. My burger was probably the best burger I have had in a restaurant...ever! The wings were disappointing, they were small and over cooked to the point of being tough. This is definitely a winner, and right off of I-85 I plan to visit following a football game on the way back to Atlanta.

Previously this resturant had massive portions(my husband and I could share a plate), but scaled it back to more reasonable portion sizes. The boneless fried chicken is delicious and the banana pudding, fried okra are spectacular! Pass on the creamed corn, it comes from a can.

Been to this location on several occasions while traveling. Most recent visit on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed; in fact there was a wait of about 10 minutes for a table. Each employee I encountered here was very friendly, even with the level of business. Accordingly, it was very loud inside.Wanted to try their new fried chicken dinner, as previously Cracker Barrel didnât have bone-in chicken. It only comes as a 4-piece dinner which is a lot of chicken for most people, especially with two side dishes. CB should offer the dinner in at least a 3-piece version and maybe a 2-piece. I would think this would be a more profitable option too as you can charge more per piece. At any rate, the chicken looks impressive and comes out in a nice basket. The sides I got - fried okra and hash brown casserole - were predictably good. Everything was served hot.I wasnât wild about the chicken, however. The breading was pretty heavy and reminiscent of the breading Publix Supermarkets uses on their chicken. It was fairly under spiced as well. It needed lost of salt and pepper to give it some zing, and Iâm not a salt person. The big disappointment was that the chicken had definitely been frozen before being cooked. It had the telltale darkness at the bone and several of the pieces were dry.Other than that, a friendâs salad was really great and I love their ranch dressing. My other friend raved about the roast beef. This is a typical Cracker Barrel with friendly employees. It seems well-run; the manager was on the floor watching for the second a table was vacant then using a headpiece to send over someone to clear the table.Overall a good CB location, minus my personal opinion on the fried chicken.

We have actually eaten here several times since the first time in June. The have great salads and sandwiches. The staff is friendly, and they have a great porch for outside dining. The last trip was during the Iron Bowl in November and they were packed! They handled it well though and the was was not unreasonable given the traffic they had. Both my son and I have the Ahi Tuna Salad and it was marvelous! We can't visit Auburn without eating here at least once!

I called this morning an hour and a half before I was set to pick up a simple chicken mini platter for an office request, a man answered the phone and said itâs all about âgive and takeâ and implied that he was too busy and could not take the order. I hung up and informed the office, they said to take the business elsewhere which I easily did. You may be Chick Fil A , and you may have so many customers that it doesnât matter to you when you provide horrid service, but this will be dutifully noted and spread throughout the community . Do better .

JimBobâs is a staple in these parts, with good ole Southern cooking and impeccable service.Their chicken fingers are deliciously crispy and perfectly deep fried, although health conscious individuals can get them grilled. Their buffalo wings are adequate, but the fried okra is stupendous! The french fries are very crispy and wonderfully complemented by their fabulous ranch dressing! The mac ânâ cheese isnât bad either. If youâre in Lower Alabama, I would recommend some Southern cuisine at any JimBobâs location for a simple, affordable, delicious family meal.

Neat little area. We had a late lunch here after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. I had a black and blue bacon burger and my husband had the turkey avacado club, both were very good. Tried the flaming nuggets, loved those! The baked beans were very good too. We would visit thjs restaurant again if we were in this area again.
