This is the restaurant to go to for kebabs, pide and lahmacun. They also do grilled vegetables only - a rescue for vegetarians. As appetizer, try the butter and tulum cheese that come together with piping hot lavash and pide bread.Located on the main street, it's close to any of the hotels in the inner city and you will get a chance to observe the locals passing time.
On our way to and from Climbing Mount Ararat we had dinner and lunch respectively in this very tyipcal restaurant. The decor is very interesting but more importantly the food is excellent. I had the best pizza ever in this place as well as excellent kofte (meat balls). Very good service, notwithstanding the Ramadan. The place to go for your meals!
This is a family run bussiness and is a quite new restaurant (3,5 months). The chef is a local lady who was on a TV show last year because she can cook local food so good. It is on the first floor of a building but conveniently located on the main street of the city. It is clean and the whole family is very nice. Abdigor kofte (meatballs), home-made yoghurt and hulilikli helva (dessert) were superb and unique. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant if you ever happen to be in Dogubeyazıt.
