Petite Fleur wins you at first glance! Our goal is to highlight our diversity by expanding our family in Greece and abroad. Against the stream of a standard era, success came through the four-fold: - Authenticity in every detail - Excellent product quality - Customer loyalty - Unique environment
A very small place (only around 5 tables), that offers a good range of drinks and mainly chocolate. Non-smoking policy is strictly applied which i found great. Not easy to find a place to sit. Prices are quite reasonable e.g. 200 ml of hot chocolate costs 3,5 euros but nothing special as a taste.

Chalandri's and Greek's taverns gem, Kitsoulas is an authentic representation of what Greek tavern is and where locals eat! Menu is pure Greek and visitor will enjoy the definition of delicious Greek cuisine and warm hospitality. Stuff is very helpful and attantant and will bring anything you ask in front of you quickly. We tried stuffed zucchini, Pastiche and beef fillet. I would advise you to call in advance and make a reservation as it may be crowded. Food is guaranteed to be delicious! Don't miss it!

The restaurant's philosophy is clear and precise: years of experience, imagination and creativity seek out the best nature generously has to offer every season and evolve it into a faultlessly delicious result based on clean, authentic and imaginative dishes. The menu at Psomi & Alati changes every 2 to 3 months according to seasonally available ingredients.
To begin with, this is the 2nd time I dine at this restaurant, the 1st being in its very early steps. Comparing to this 1st, I consider it not that good. The place is nice, non smoking area exists and the service is great. There is an option for 2 people menu, 25€/person, which I think is a really good choice. However, we decided to proceed with different plates in the middle. The concept around every course seemed interesting, however the result was at many cases disappointing. Furthermore the quantity of the appetizers was really small. The house wine was really good. The prices are rather high.

I have been many times to this restaurant which is our nearest and certainly the best in the area. The food is excellent, the service is extremely good with friendly and attentive waiters. The wine selection is excellent and not too expensive, with a wide range of Greek wine producers.
Despite being along the side of Mesogeion, one of the busiest roads in Athens, the restaurant is a quiet little oasis in the suburbs. Even the small courtyard, used for tables in the warmer weather is somehow quieter and calmer. The fish dishes are excellent, but my favourite is the veal, but the fish soup is wonderful.

We have visited here twice, as guests in a large parties.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated in a rustic style, in line with what it is and what it serves. It looks like a taverna you would expect to find in a village in Crete. Ambiance and music follows the same principle.
The food is excellent, we had dolmades, pork apakia, slow cooked pork "kotsi", cheese and spinach pies, and other dishes - everything was delicious. Especially the meat seems to be of high quality, and the chef knows his stuff...
The only down side was the house wine (both red and white) which we would advise against... prefer bottled wine!
As we were guests, we have no information on prices, but we will certainly visit again to taste more of the excellent dishes offered.
Highly recommended!

The restaurant is set back slightly off the main road just near the Iguana Supermarket. It always looked busy but we were initially put off by the bar next door owned by the same family and part of the Magic Hotel just up the road as evidenced by the crockery! The tables had linen tablecloths rather than the usual paper overcloths and cotton napkins. the white tables and chairs were taverna style but almost halfway between a taverna and restaurant. We started with complimentary ouzo bread and a tapenade and ordered Dolmades in a white wine & herb sauce plus a melon starter to refresh our palates in readiness for a rabbit stifado & peeled prawns with garlic rice & vegetables. We also ordered a litre of local rose wine. The food was extremely good and sufficient without being over bearing and leaving us feeling stuffed.Asking for the bill we received complimentary coffee and shots of local liqueur. 45 Euros.
We returned later in our holiday when all tavernas had been affected by a rainstorm . Platania had managed to move tables under cover which did make it a little more cramped but otherwise it was fine. Ouzos tomato dip & toasted bread, Dolmades (they were so good the first time it was inevitable we would have them again) Courgette fritters with Tzatziki. Rabbit Stifado & a lamb kleftiko . The seemingly usual complimentary coffees and shots for a total of 40 Euros. Service overall was very good & attentive, food quality & menu size was very good. Fear of noise etc from the next door bar was unwarranted. Pretty damn good overall.

The food is good and they have real nan bread instead of supermarket type. The vindaloo is on a par with the UK for spice although a little too sour for my taste. Starters were good. Service is cheerful but could have been a little faster. Well worth a visit. Booking is a must over the weekend.
