Big thank you to friendly, professional staff. Especially to Dave and Steve who were so helpful, pleasant and clearly enjoyed their job. Breakfast was great, fresh, good variety. Beautiful surroundings and the building is lovely. The bedrooms looked a bit tired and the shower seemed cold , although the bath was great in room 5. Overall really good experience, thank you ??

B&B Rafters. Join us and discover a place to relax.
I have had the pleasure of staying at Rafters a number of times on business trips to Oxford and have always been impressed with the place. Sigrid is a delightful lady (also met her husband Arne on one occasion) who cooks a first class breakfast and the rooms are very clean and comfortable (apart from the water bed in one room, it may not even be there now, but I found it horrible and ended up sleeping on the floor). That did not detract from my overall impression of Rafters, however, so I would have no hesitation at all in recommending them. I should add these visits were in the mid 2000's, I just never got around to leaving the review until something reminded me today!

Grade II listed pub with superbly renovated en-suite accommodation in the former 'tap-house' for Morland's brewery. In the 'Good Beer Guide', known for great food and a multiple nominee for CAMRA's SE Oxfordshire pub of the year. Town centre location, off street parking, secret beer garden! Available for functions and events.
I had the most wonderful stay here! Was greeted warmly from the car park & was delighted to grab the last space. Was shown to my room which was spacious with mini toiletries, comfy bed & flat screen tv. The pub downstairs was packed & buzzing on an early Saturday evening but the lovely staff made me feel so welcome & found me a table for dinner before helpfully directing me to where I was heading next. The waitress was 100% good service and yummy food … the atmosphere fun and welcoming. In the morning, the housekeeping lady was so eager to please, offering extra towels and making sure I had enough breakfast. The self-service coffee machine & continental picnic-style breakfast was just right for me in flight mode on my way home. Really sweet place, full of character and every member of staff were just perfect. Highly recommended. ?

We visit this country pub nearly every week. We have never had a bad meal or bad service in this pub. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the lovely staff remember you and acknowledge you even if they are busy. The food is well cooked and always plenty of it. Today they had a large group of people in but the staff made time to be attentive to us, and made sure we were timely served. I have nothing but praise for this place. However if its fine dining you are after i suggest you go somewhere else where you will pay fine dining prices. This is pub grub, well presented, well priced in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
