Thirty miles north of Baltimore is Aberdeen, Maryland, a city built by the American military and America's game, baseball. The city has been home to the Proving Ground of the US Army since 1917. A day pass will grant visitors access to the United States Army Ordnance Museum, with a collection of historic artillery and tanks from all over the world. Aberdeen is also the birthplace of the legendary Ripken family, proudly immortalized with a minor league stadium, museum and baseball camps.

Driving from Wilmington to Annapolis and wanted a lunch stop. Skip all the fast food joints and go here. What a find this place is!! Fun retro setting full of antiques, friendly waitstaff, interesting menu, massive portions of delicious homemade food, very reasonably priced. Just when you think you can’t eat another bite, the complementary dessert arrives. What is not to absolutely love about this place!!??

Keyes Creamery is a small family owned business. They use the milk from their 100 dairy cows to make both cheese and ice cream. They offer a wide range of selections for ice cream from your basic flavors like Vanilla and Chocolate to Cows Feet and Goose Feathers. Take ice cream home with you or sit and enjoy an ice cream cone while watching the planes land and take off from the local air park. Bring the family and play backyard games from Volleyball to Kickball and Football. The cheese is a raw milk cheese and is made in Pennsylvania by an Amish Cheese maker. Try flavors like their Aged Cheddar, Swiss, or a Maryland staple, Colby Old Bay.
Went to a wine and cheese tasting at Legend's Winery where we sampled cheese from Keye's. The Smoked, Italian Herb, and Peppercorn Cheddars were out of this world to me. So much so that we left the winery and went straight to Keye's to purchase them. While there, we were also made sure to stock up on their amazing ice cream. I had previously had their ice creams and knew them to be wonderful. By all means go and get the Salted Caramel, Butter Pecan and the Chocolate Coconut Almond. You won't be sorry.

CLOSED MONDAYS AND ALL OF JANUARY We are a small on-farm cafe that makes its own ice cream. We are known for our ice cream, our crab soup, and other assorted delights. We also sell locally produced meats, cheese, milk, yogurt, and eggs. Lots of outside seating when the weather is fit. 30 inside seats. We would love to see your happy face sometime.
Took my kids for a lunch out during their school break. Arrived after 2pm and the place was packed with the line just about our the door. Be sure to grab a menu on your way in - they are at the front door. Then look around for the daily specials. They are posted up behind the counter but in various locations. We all opted for an option including the macaroni and cheese. One was a combo of chili and mac - that was devoured very quickly. One was a combo of tomato crab soup with mac - again an excellent combination. The third was a straight up bowl of Mac and cheese accompanied by a mini quiche. My son did not love the quiche because of all the onion but it looked and smelled great. We are just not onion fans so we would try a different flavor next time. We also split a half ham salad sandwich - overflowing from a fabulous cornbread and with homemade pickles on the side. All 3 meals for about $30. Lastly we had some ice cream that comes along with the meal combinations. Please note a ‘very small’ ice cream is a generous serving. Especially after such filling lunch. The service is a bit slow and the dining room is crowded but it is all really friendly and makes you feel like you are eating at a large party. Definitely will return after their January holiday.

Bomboy's Candy
I stop in often to get a box of mixed chocolates. They are the best! Milk chocolate and dark chocolate are available in different varieties. From covered walnuts to delicious salted caramels. The customer service is exceptional. Other candies are available also and do t forget about their ice cream store across the street.

Not my favorite DD location. And I need coffee in the am. I have stopped here a few times. And couple of times asked for flavor in black coffee. I have gotten every combination. Sometimes I get delicious fresh coffee. Other times I get sugar, cream, no flavor, and who knows what.

Lovely restaurant. We passed by it on our drive through town, and not wanting a heavy dinner decided to give it a try. Service was fabulous. Food was lovely. Everything was made from scratch on premises - no "prep" foods. Wine list is outstanding. We asked for the waiter to put together a nice wine selection for us to sample and he gave us at least one local wine, which we ended up buying at their wine store. Many of their foods and wines are imported from Europe and other places. I'd give it 5 out of 5 stars.
We dropped into The Vineyard for a late lunch on a cold December afternoon. The food was delicious and the wine choice very impressive. Unfortunately, as I was driving I could have only one glass, from the large selection available but it was excellent nonetheless.
The crab soup was delicious, as was the duck confit salad and prosciutto and fig flatbread.
The bar has a friendly feel and there is a cozy room next door with a sofa and fireplace for an even more relaxed atmosphere.

It took a second visit for me to appreciate that the Olive Tree is a real Italian restaurant. On the day after Thanksgiving many families were enjoying a huge selection of mainly Southern Italian specialties. I liked the spiciness of the scampi fra diavolo on angel hair pasta and my husband enjoyed linguine with white clam sauce; the seafood was fresh and the service friendly, though the bland strip mall decor detracted a bit from the food.

We went for lunch and we're very surprised at the great buffet that is available at lunch. It's not the super duper 100 item kind but more quaint with the most popular items being available.
I tried nearly every item and found zero dissatisfaction. Every item was hot, fresh and almost cooked to order. The person who watches over the buffet is very efficient and keeps it all fresh and appealing.
The best part? Soft ice cream , and the lunch buffet is only $7.00!! You read that right, $ SEVEN dollars!!

Stopped here for breakfast with the family on our way down to Florida. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich had so much more flavor than the kind you get at McDonald's. Kids had muffin egg and cheese sandwiches, one with bacon, the other with sausage and both enjoyed them very much.
The best part of the experience was the friendly and courteous staff. They make you feel welcome and appear HAPPY to serve you.
