Shuck’s deserves its excellent reputation! Almost everything on the menu is fried and fantastic!
We started with the corn and crab soup (very tasty) and moved on to fried shrimp and the seafood platter (big enough to share). Portion size is good and everything is seasoned well; not too spicy, just delicious. I believe those are the best fried oysters I’ve ever put in my mouth.
We topped it all off with their famous bread pudding. Don’t hesitate - just order it, and you’ll find out what all the fuss is about. We could hardly walk afterward, but WOW!
Nice waitstaff, good prices, just a great restaurant overall. Highly recommended!

This past week we were in Abbeville, LA, and had apple fritters on two occasions from Vincent's. There were without a doubt the best fritters my wife, daughter and I have ever had anywhere. They were light, fluffy and instead of little apple chunks, they were made with apple slices. There was not too much sugar in them and the glaze was just right. I would have to categorize them as the best I've ate bar none. Exceptional, just exceptional!!!

I ordered the oyster trio and it was excellent; among the best prepared oyster dishes I've ever had. I had a discount voucher from localflavor, which provided good value. And take a look at the drink specials on the menu; there are good deals some nights. Service and atmosphere very good. Worth a 25 minute drive from New Iberia to eat here.

Honey blueberry biscuits. Two for $1.89 .Mini in size hand held eaten.
Exit Left location not problematic this early morning with school closing &local traffic not heavy just yet.
Quick access drive thru alternative to chain breakfast stops.
However inside top layer needs more cooking time.

While out boating, we stopped in at the River Front Restaurant, an attractive restaurant in a lovely setting on the Vermillion River southwest of Lafayette. The fire roasted oysters made an excellent appetizer and the soft shell crabs were outstanding. The service, however, was slow and disorganized, with a long wait for entrees and an even longer wait for vegetables that were delivered well after the main course. One of our party ordered Gulf shrimp, which was good but came in a small dish, devoid of accompanying vegetables. The seafood enchiladas were smothered in cheese and very good as was the hamburger steak ordered by another guest.

Richard's specializes in crab and crawfish season, but they have a great Cajun buffet with all my favorites: crawfish etouffee, fried and grilled catfish, gumbo, chicken, boulets, boudin balls, frog legs, etc. Serve buffet on Saturdays and other days. I find the blue crab to be too expensive, but a lot of people go just for crab season.

This is the definitive place to eat boiled crawfish. It's the best in the entire world. You need to get it onto TripAdvisor
My wife is from Abbeville and, at least once a year during crawfish season, we go pick up her mom and the three of us head to Cajun Claws for huge trays of the cleanest-tasting, most beautiful boiled crawfish I've ever laid eyes on. The thing is, unless you're there waiting when they open the doors, you'll likely have a one hour to two hour wait. It's worth it! Try to get a seat at the bar and enjoy a bloody mary or two - by the time you get seated, the crawfish will taste that much better. I also found the fried jumbo shrimp appetizer really exceptional.
I try to never type the words "best I ever had," but these really are the best crawfish I've ever tasted, and I've lived in Louisiana my entire life.

Reviewed this place as take out before and gave it high marks. Went for lunch and "dine in". Totally different experience
PROS: service staff very friendly and worked hard . Quality of meat in burger good. Fries were hot and good
Needs improvement: 45 minutes from order taken to receive two burgers and fries ---my cheese burger was Luke warm-cheese was still cold and not melted. Wife's was Luke warm as well. Several folks seated after us got food before us?? And it was burgers as well
Inside is very "tight seating".
In my opinion-- kitchen space might be too small to service lunch crowd inside and drive thru-- just an opinion
Everybody has a bad day. We will try again

We ended up here because it was Sunday and the higher rated restaurants were closed. The hours they are open is one of the pluses, the other is the fast service.
However, the sticky laminated menus, the hand dirt smeared on the backs of the chairs and on the door and handles, the smell, the run down and dirty atmosphere, and the greasy food are just too much. My bacon and egg were greasy, the biscuit may have been from last week, and overall the meal was poor. We left half of it on the plates. I hate to post a negative comment, but as a TA reviewer I rely on other to post honestly and feel I should do the same.
