Great pub in a lovely village. Good staff, with an amazing pub dog “Willow”. Shows all the sport. Handy for Silverstone, Milton Keynes and great walks around the surrounding area. Accommodation is priced very well and very clean. Well worth a visit.

The Arthouse is now operating as a fully self contained two bedroom house. Arthouse is an old fire station, 5 min. walk from Canterbury West station, and 10 mins. to the city centre. Arthouse is a quirky, beautiful and comfortable place to stay, full of art, treasures, and beautiful things. Two bedrooms each with a private bathroom. Our reviews on this listing mostly reference the Arthouse's former status as a bed and breakfast operation. Please now refer to our other listing Arthouse at the old fire station
We booked to say in the cottage. Parking is on the street and we never had trouble getting a space right near the house and the owners very helpfully provided parking permits to display in the car so we never paid extra for parking which was great. The living room is cosy with a dining table. We enjoyed lovely evenings here. The cottage is decorated very nicely and had a homely feel. They even left a book with tips on where to visit and information on the cottage which was helpful and a nice touch. Any questions we had Sebastian was happy to help. For the price this was perfect and walking distance to the centre of Canterbury. It is on a main road which can be quite busy at certain times of the day which was probably my only disappointment as it wasn't as quiet as I would have liked but its on a main road so i guess traffic noise is to be expected. Aside from that it was an enjoyable stay. The shower wasn't great but we managed as only stayed for a few days, it worked but could have been better. Would stay here again though and would recommend to family and friends, for the price it is very reasonable for Canterbury and we had a lovely time staying at the Arthouse cottage.

Stayed for a long weekend over Easter and wasn't disappointed. The lodge was spotless and everything looked brand new. The lovely comfortable beds and quietness of the park was just what we needed to relax. The hot tub was such an added extra that I would defiantly recommend using. The beach at Pevensey was wonderful and the park is a good base to explore the area. We were sorry to leave, thank you for a wonderful break.

We had an absolutely fab stay at West Bay (Wight staycation) over the jubilee bank holiday. Cottage was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The staff on site, Simon and Sam were super helpful with any queries we had. We did stay here several years ago when the swimming pool complex was open and it is a shame that it’s not open. Hopefully it will open again. The kids had great fun playing outside, safe and child friendly. Thoroughly recommend and look forward to booking again.

Bed and Breakfast in Kent - Quality cottage style accommodation in a rural setting, yet only 10 minutes from the M20/M2/M25/M26. Situated midway between Dartford, Gravesend, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, and Rochester, and within easy reach of Bluewater shopping centre, Brands Hatch, the London Golf Club, and Ebbsfleet International Eurostar station. Privacy and relaxation guaranteed!
We stayed at the Chicken Shed - being 2 adults, 2 kids and a spaniel. All welcome, with the fenced garden being useful for the dog and a versatile open-plan space inside. The hosts left bountiful breakfast supplies, for cooked and continental, and a couple of treats for us. We all slept upstairs which I think was the right setup for us, avoiding conversion of the sofa bed - and there's no door on the bedroom so it's not as if you'd ever be truly separated. The decor is nice and things are pretty much just as you would want. Location is handy for car (we went to beach and Rochester among other spots) and pleasant as a walking start point. It's not the cheapest place you could stay, and it can't be perfect. But it's a one-off build with a full kitchen to self cater (and no trace of actual chickens living there, which I think is probably a good thing). We find that dog-friendly accommodation is not that common, and it certainly doesn't always have the pleasant views here.

Stayed in the bottom half of the old windmill which contains a kitchen/living room/ dining area, a bedroom and a bathroom which were all more spacious than I was expecting. It was in fact, just the right size for a couple. The owners had provided tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and there was also milk, water and orange juice in the fridge. The mill is quirky, picturesque and rustic, with a bit of local history and we loved it. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean and the whole site is very well kept. Every accommodation is different in size and character, with their own garden and barbecue area. Our garden was not enclosed but we actually had two areas, a table and bench in a shaded area and a bench round the side of the mill which was a lovely suntrap. We also had the porch which I enjoyed sitting out on for breakfast and to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The whole site is wonderfully tranquil. Some information that might be useful, if like us you don't drive, there is a bus service that passes right by the site but unfortunately it does not stop outside and there are no roadside pavements/paths so we used taxis which cost between £10 and £12 to/from Chichester. However transport links in Chichester are really good so you can get around easily from there. While staying we arranged a small Tesco delivery and had a take away meal delivered without any problem. Excellent communication with the owners prior to our stay and friendly interactions during. We would certainly stay again.

We are easily accessable from M4, M 40, and M25. Off peak and long let deals are available. We look forward to welcoming you.
My family and I stayed in the West Wing for a month between house moves and it could not have worked better. Caroline & her family are lovely and laid back and made us feel very welcome. The West Wing is kitted out with everything you could need in the kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of bedding and 3 bathrooms! Yes the floors are a little uneven and there are low ceilings - it might bother some but we didn't have a problem and it added to the character! The grounds are stunning (my children loved the trampoline, raised pool and zip line!), and I adored the close proximity to the river for lovely walks! Our stay felt like a holiday at a stressful time, and would all definitely recommend it to anyone for mid-length stays such as inbetween house moves.
