We used this company for a week-long trip to Sicily, including airport transfers, hotel transfers between Taormina, Siracusa, and Ragusa, and a few site and winery tours. The driving service was excellent---on time, professional, and knowledgeable. Both Francesco and Luciano were wonderful. We booked a few specialized tours on our own and those turned out to be better than the tours we booked through this company. I think guides can be hit or miss---Mila in Siracusa was wonderful and Teresa in Agrigento was on her telephone the entire time she was with us. The wineries they booked for us were also hit and miss---Murgo on Etna had great wines but we arrived an hour early and had to stand around in the rain, and the biodynamic winery in Noto (Cantina Marilina) had great food but wines that were largely undrinkable. There was also a problem with our chocolate tasting tour in Modica so we missed the laboratory visit. But I can't fault the company for the guides or the wineries, really. They are basically an excellent chauffeur service, and we can wholly recommend using them as a driving service. Their professionalism and courtesy made our holiday stress-free and, given the opportunity, we would book them again.

2020 was a difficult year to travel, but if you can make it, it is all worth it! Given the various restrictions imposed on tourism during this period, Activity Sicily still delivered a rich and smooth programme: food was great, tours are interesting, hotels are comfortable and in great locations, and the cooking class is particularly fun. We focused on the food and wine aspects in this tour, the knowledge behind the food provided great insight into Sicilian people, history and culture. Massimo was hands-on all way through the tour to make sure everything went well, and all the guides are professional, knowledgable, and helped us to make the most of the trip during this difficult time. That said, the bonus is -- with hardly any tourists around, we really got to see the place as it is! Thanks Activity Sicily.

My husband and I had a fabulous day with Francesca. She's incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wines, history, and geology of the entire Etna area (and Sicily in general). On short notice, she organized a great day and we look forward to coming back. We first went up the mountain to see a ski resort town buried in the 2002 eruption, met a talented photographer with amazing photos and videos of past eruptions, then went to a cave formed by a lava tube. Francesca knew all the geology behind it, including the different flora found at each elevation and eruption area. Then we went to a small winery with fabulous wines where we met the enologist who talked about the difficulties of making wines from each local varietal (we make wine ourselves so the details were of great interest) She took us to a wonderful local restaurant which served my husband's favorite pasta dish. Just as good as his Sicilian mother's, he declared. We finished the day at another winery wuth a gorgeous view over the vineyards all the way to the sea. After stopping at a small shop for local honey and other treats, she drove us back to our hotel, giving us further local recommendations. A fabulous, well-paced day spent with a wonderful woman!! I'd recommmend Francesca to anyone who wants an expert and fun guide to Etna's many bounties!
