SO, the new Hammet's Hotel is a striking addition to the street-scape and harbor in Newport. It is well thought out in many respects. The rooms are quite small, but very nicely done. Separate shower/ toilet room from the sink allows two people to occupy it comfortably. And there is a beautiful restaurant and bar at the main level, but– and here is one of the issues– it is very popular and being a hotel guest gives you no advantages in getting in. As a result, on a busy Memorial Day Weekend, it is as though there is no hotel bar. At over $500 per night, this seems like a missed opportunity. As it is, the main level of the lobby side of the U-shaped courtyard has a few meeting room and a barren lobby with no music and too bright lights. If you want a drink, you must walk across the courtyard to the restaurant, buy an unopened bottle, and open it yourself in the lobby. Nuts! So, in short, hotels like this, with small but stylish rooms, usually make up for it with great social spaces. Here, they have done so at the public restaurant, but not in the hotel itself.

We have a beautiful view of Coddington Bay. We are conveniently located on Naval Station Newport. Our guest rooms and kitchenettes are newly renovated. We provide a Breakfast To Go bag daily with unlimited coffee throughout the day. We provide a home away from home for our military families on PCS orders. We provide lodging for Active Duty, Retirees, and DOD traveling on TDY or Leisure.
I sincerely thank all of Navy Lodge Newport workers for their kindness, their hospitality and especially their professionalism. My stay for a year alongside you was one of the most great moments of my life. I cannot express all my joy and I feel so sad to be leaving you. You are all great and be blessed. Special mention to the manager who has a great capacity to manage people. Be especially blessed Ma'am !

1700's Historic Horse Farm/Inn with colonial décor, and beautiful surrounding forests. Guests can sign up for B&B, Farmstay, or apartment rental visits each with different pricing- from a destination visit to just a place to hang your hat. Lots of educational activities for children, peaceful countryside, and farm animals to enjoy including pony rides for kids. Participation is encouraged but not required. Ideal for nature lovers who also like fine dining. Many recipes from Thomas Jefferson's own kitchen. 9 separate sleeping rooms include a small cottage.
Virginia is the most generous host, warm &welcoming, and makes you an unique and splendid breakfast. You and your dog can browse freely through her vast ground including pond and forest and trails for walking/biking/riding. Stretch, relax, enjoy! Thank you, Virginia!

This newly renovated property is one of the nicer places I have stayed in my many years as a Navy spouse. The rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and the property has many nice amenities. I was here during a pretty frosty fall weekend, but there is a wonderful outdoor patio and BBQ grill. The views are quite nice, and the Inn is convenient to the main harbor in Newport.

We were in the 3rd floor apartment. Since we had a kitchen we did not get breakfast. Was told because we had a kitchen. Cute apartment. Extremely dirty. Understand the sand, but the floors were filthy and dirty. We spent an entire week in our shoes because we didn’t want dirty feet. The beds were Terrible. The master bedroom was a cot! The two twin beds were so loud anytime you moved one thought they might break. The shower bathroom door didn’t close. Once you were in you had to have someone come and kick the bottom of the shower door in order for it close properly or you would have water all over. The staff was friendly. Very disappointed in the accommodations all around. Close to the main town and walkable.

Right now, it seems like this casino has made a cautious effort to invest in a new area with no real commitment to go big. I can envision a grand venue once they’re convinced that the location is right. I would rather enjoy the affiliate (Twin River) with big fun and all the amenities until they figure it all out.

I've been at Newport before and I knew the area so was pleased to find this gem! This stay was for four people. You can tell that everything is new and I just love the decor as it was elegant and yet comfortable. You can't get a better location as it's right near all the shops and restaurants you will find on the main street, but not where it's noisy and where you'll worry about drunks walking outside your door. Well worth the money, and I'll be booking there again for my next trip. Thanks!

The B&B is in a quaint New England Cape. There are two rooms and a nearby bathroom. It's small, but very cozy and comfortable. Mrs. Bee made a delicious breakfast that I thoroughly enjoyed! They are a wonderful couple, they were great company, and I enjoyed my stay! As I told her, my only regret was that I was only there for one night. Next time I am in the area, I will definitely consider this place again! That said, I had a BIG issue, and it was NOT with the B&B itself -- it was with Booking.com. It turns out that I was supposed to pay the B&B directly. I didn't have a problem with that, but this is NOT made clear on Booking.com. The B&B doesn't take credit cards, and I didn't have my checkbook with me. I had to go out to find an ATM and pay in cash. I felt bad that I had to do this. I was very happy with the B&B, but annoyed at Booking.com. I recommend that you contact Mrs. Bee's directly, and NOT use Booking.com for this place.
