The hotel was clean, it had all the basic necessities, the location Great! But the best part of our experience was the amazing staff members. Specially Ahmed Shahawy the hotel manager. My wife and I were supposed to stay for only one night, but she ended up getting sick with bronchitis and laryngitis. She ended up in the emergency room. Ahmed was there with us every step of the way, he took us to the hospital, to the specialist, to the pharmacy and back to the hotel. He accommodated us on a bigger more comfortable room. I tried to give him a $200 USD tip but he refuse the tip. He said “I am just doing my job” We had to extend our stay for a week or so or until my wife was strong enough to travel. Every day we were there, the staff members asked how my wife was doing, they went out of their way to make special teas and food that were not in the menu and took it to our room. I also like to thank the night staff clerk who went in on his day off to take my wife and I to the follow up appointments to translate. Unfortunately I can’t remember his name. I attempted to tip him and his response was “ no need for that, it was my pleasure to help you”. We were treated with care and kindness and for that we will always we grateful.

We stayed here for one day and had a lot of fun. Location is feet from the jetty. Everyone here was very friendly (carried our luggage up flights of stairs). Take them up on dinner. We had grilled fish which was amazing! We walked to Aswan museum, took boat ride around Elephantine island and walked around the area untildark. Left at 5:45am next morning and owner was up and walked with us down to the ferry. Very nice and unexpected.

Basic guesthouse with shared toilet on the Elephantine island. Generous breakfast serving. Room that faces the beautiful Nile river with sound of birds, chicken and sheeps in the morning. Abdulrahmen and family is friendly. We communicated through WhatsApp even before arriving, giving trip suggestion and help arrange our tours to Abu Simbel and Philae Temple with early boat arrangement and breakfast prepared for us to go Abu Simbel. Need to take the boat to the Elephantine Island for egp5 per way.

Definitely not worth the slight difference with the top competition in price. Food is mediocre at best; ship is rundown and not maintained. Entertainment is none-existent. They don’t provide tea kettles in the room so that you buy coffee and tea but I needed boiled water for medicine and had to buy bottle water for this. I will definitely go back to their competitor next time.

Not per the photos on booking.com. Wires hanging out of the wall and rubbish everywhere. The rooftop seating area was in poor condition as well. For anything more than $10USD/night there are PLENTY of better options around Aswan than this place.
