Located in the peaceful village of Juara, overlooking the South China Sea to the front and the jungle to the rear River View offers the chance to relax and unwind away from the crowds and stresses of every day life.We operate as a responsible resort, concentrating on the conservation of this beautiful location and respect for the local community.
Stayed here in 2021 and loved it. ? Riverview is right on one of Tioman's most beautiful beaches in Juara. I recommend the chalets right on beach overlooking the bay. The chalet was spacious, sleeping 3 adults, with a spacious en-suite bathroom. Riverview is right next to what they call "Python Alley", the river that runs through the mangrove, so we got to take the kayaks ?♀️ down looking for pythons in a tree (at a safe distance!) ? Thanks to Julie and Simon for being wonderful hosts!

The island was quiet because the sea was pretty rough last week. We took the Cataferry which operates 1 trip a day. The seat was comfortable and departure was on time. So you have a choice of either Bluewaters or Cataferry for your trip to Tioman. Nazris Place is completing 5 seaview rooms. Just a stone throw to the beach. Ideal to sit and relax to hear the sound of the waves and lovely Sunset. Operating hours at the restaurant has also improved. Breakfast now served from 8AM to 1200 noon to cater for those wake up late and Lunch from 11AM to 3.30PM for those who skip breakfast. Meal Price is still reasonable. Needless to say, staff are friendly and helpful. A little upgrading around the resort but does not distrub your stay. Still the best resort in Ayer Batang for couples, solo, family groups travellers for its good beach, food, water sports, diving and meeting new friends.

We stayed at paradise point for 1 week and we loved it. The chalet has the basics... but its nice when you want to relax. The beach is just in front and the food at the restaurant there was delicious! The owners are very helpful and humble. Definitly a place to stay if you dont like luxurious things.

We stayed for three nights before we couldn't stand it any longer and moved to one of the other resorts down the beach. The price is now 45RM per night with no amenities whatsoever, not even the light in the bathroom was working. Holes in the floor and walls, the place is dilapidated. There is no laundry service or safe deposit box or any of the things it says they provide online. There is not even a place to get drinking water, you have to walk 10 minutes down the beach to one of the other hotels. They don't provide a blanket for the bed either so at night we were freezing cold. There were three mice and a nice 10cm brown spider to keep us company at night as well. This place is not a bargain. It is downright dangerous. The porch flooring gave way under our chair one night as we were sitting there. We moved down the beach to Salang Beach Resort. Much better place. 40RM per night only for basic room in good condition with housekeeping service, laundry service, restaurant, drinking water, and they organize snorkeling trips and boat travel for you if you want. Give you soap and toilet paper too.

This is a place of unrealized opportunity. The good thing is -- it is a spacious 4-bedroom bungalow, each room with its own attached bathroom(+bathtub) with heater. Generally clean, with towels and soap supplied. The bad however -- is that it is old and not well-maintained; 2 bathroom shelves were broken, 3 of 4 toilet bidets were spoilt(!), 1 toilet was leaking (water was flowing out the door into the back drain), the furniture looked and smelt old, the barbecue pit was in an atrocious state of despair.. AND the barbecue utensils were laid out to dry at the back of the bungalow, very near the leaking toilet water(!!) I decided not to take photographs, hopefully someone relevant reads this review and does some serious cleanup. The dining area was also large, but terribly ill-equipped. Zero cups, plates or spoons. They do however provide a kettle to boil water (to pour.. where?). There was a tiny, smelly fridge that we turned on ourselves in order to use. Despite the smell, it worked well. The kitchen door was locked when we first checked in. Only when we asked for utensils, did they reluctantly provide some ("we do not usually provide" they told us), and left the kitchen door unlocked so we could place used cups/plates (no sink anywhere in the dining area or even in the kitchenette.. I assume the caretaker took them to wash elsewhere). The caretaker also kept asking us to whom we paid $ to. I wonder why; doesn't the management figure out all that and settle with him? We paid for the stay online, and with the cleanliness concerns about utensils etc. we did not want to cater any food from there. Therefore, with no expectation of additional payment, it was a little annoying to keep explaining our payment mode to him. All in all, it was a very mediocre stay despite the nice big space in and around the house.

I definitely don’t recommend this resort !!! A nightmare with the muezzin screaming from 6:00 am , no sheets in the beds , no shower cabin etc etc Was really expecting a minimum of quality , I didn’t get any . When a weekend which should have been a pleasure becomes a nightmare

We had a reservation for 8 nights but unfortunately our ferry was canceled due to adverse weather conditions and it was not possible to travel to Tioman Island for a few days. Even though our booking was not refundable, the property agreed to let us cancel without any charge, given the unfortunate circumstances. Thank you so much for the flexibility! If we come back and we finally get to Tioman, we’ll definitely book here again.

It feels good to be back here after so 2years. This time is monsoon season, feels bit lucky cause not much of raining through 4 days stayed. Beach shack is the perfect place to stay. Try the river paddling assisted by ilham, and there’s much more activities you can do also. Etty at beach shack are so nice and helpful. Sum up, great stay and will try make it longer next time. Thank you

The staff at this resort is super helpful. Good sense of humour, and always smiling. The food at the restaurant is good, and doesn’t cost much. The location of the resort is fantastic! Right on the beach. The rooms are basic, with a nice veranda where we enjoyed the evenings.
