The misty hills, lush teakwood and sandalwood forests, and acres of tea and coffee plantations of Kodagu are, in a word, stunning. Also known as Coorg and dubbed "The Scotland of India," Kodagu is a postcard-perfect region of scattered villages and hamlets, which are the epitome of old-world charm. Kodagu is ideal for outdoor activities such as trekking, angling and white-water rafting, and major festivals like Keil Poldu (worship of weapons), Cauvery Shankaramana (return of the river goddess) and the Huttari (harvest) festival are a huge draw.

Didn't have any expectations about the place, since just wanted to spend some time with the raw natural surroundings. It turned out to be more than the expected. Situated amongst the coffee plantations and lots of greenery, it is a place worth visiting if you are looking for no disturbance quiet place. Tucked away from the main town market, the place has nice duplex type cottages. Two types. Comfortable and relaxing at the same time . Rooms are big, and have an extra bed on the upper area. A small veranda opening in the coffee greens is your extra luxury. Orange and avacado trees are around the property. Hot water is available in the morning and on request later. Bathroom was clean and maintenance is good. WiFi is free but signal strength is not very good and intermittent. But in a way that is a blessing. :) Staying here was fun, with solitude. Am sure, when you want to live with the nature , you don't expect a modern five star luxury, and that's the beauty of the place. The staff is smiling and very cordial. The food is home cooked. But local flavours are evident. All kind of food is available., They go an extra mile sometimes to prepare as per your choice and beyond the menu, if ordered in advance. They also have own coffee farms, with Arabica, Robusta and other coffee plantations. They give tour of the farms, which is huge with variety of plantation, including spices like cardamom, black pepper etc. The owners live in the same vicinity and make it a point to greet and make you comfortable. I would love to visit again, if I get a chance to be away from the chaos.

Very serene, soothing surroundings and a good getaway place. Cottages were comfortable with a lovely sit out with an expansive view Service was good. Staff accommodating to our needs Reasonably priced dishes, generous helpings, served on time. The drawbacks were frequent power cuts with no back up which is okay during winter months. Since kettle is provided, it would be a good idea to provide glasses/mugs for making tea and coffee in the rooms. However, it was served whenever we asked. Overall a very pleasant experience.

"Kabbe Holidays is one of my favourite places in Coorg. Unspoilt and spectacularly beautiful, the hills are truly alive with the sounds of nature. Breathtaking waterfalls crash down into the valley and the air is so pure and always fresh. Summer, monsoon or winter, Kabbe Holidays is the one place in Coorg closest to heaven on earth."-Prasad BidapaFashion and Image Consultant (Comment from one of our guests)
Awesome experience at Kabbe Holidays. Calm and quiet location at a walkable distance from Chelavara falls, stream, Kabbe hills and Kabbe viewpoint. Clean and comfortable cottages. Mr. Dilip, Ms. Vidya and team are wonderful hosts who made our stay so memorable with their hospitality. Food served during breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious and kids really enjoyed the spread. We would definitely recommend this homestay for anyone wanting to experience Coorg.

Easy drive from Bangalore. Good roads. We did door to door in 5 hrs with a short fuel refill break. If you are a nature enthusiast and love birds. animals. star gazing. nature walks, estate walks, adventure then you must visit this place. The family who run this are absolutely adorable and take personal care to make you feel welcome and comfortable. They serve awesome Coorgi cuisine for both veg and non-veg. The bonfire and barbeque are fun with so many stories to hear about the Kodava culture and other local things from Mr Chimma There is no internet and power at the premises as that is their USP. But both are available nearby if there is any emergency. They have large open space to play outdoor games and do team building activities. Can easily accommodate 20-25 people. Have options of cottages and tents. The place is absolutely pristine in lap of nature at the foothills near Irpu falls. The mountains run down to their estate plantations and the stay area. They have a crystal clear stream that originates as a fall and runs through their property. You actually need to drive through the water to enter the place. The 10+acres of open space surrounded by coffee, pepper, cardamom, supari, various spices in plantations. The varieties of birds you get to see and hear is an experience. It is a soul rejuvenating place to be in. Look forward to visit again!

It was a really really nice place to stay. We were looking for some place which can take us closer to nature and shut down from the stress. It was exactly the same. Beautiful view of estate from the wooden cottage we stayed in. Very good service. Actually they just pampered us with servings of coffees whenever we can think of it and simple home made but absolutely delicious food. Owner Ms. Grishma was also very good and always there to help in whichever way possible.

We had reached the resort in the morning and opted for the nonAC room since we had to explore the places around Coorg. The staff here are very friendly. The pricing for the basic room is high and charging points not working to charge our mobiles. Amenities This resort has the swimming pool, campfire place and playground for the children.

Coorg Karishma is Coorg Home stay, cottage or estate stay located in amidst of coffee estate near Madikeri, come unravel the mysteries of Coorg.
Heavy rainfall on our way from Bangalore to here, It is far from main center, but in the coffee plantation, we reached at 7:15 PM with no electricity as because of t rains. A bug frog in room waited for us in the room, They charge rs 90 for a small cup of milk, and their passion fruit juice was rs 90 something which we thought should be a part of breakfast, it was less than what normal north india nimbu pani would taste. Overall we didn't like the place very much, there are better options available at same price.
