Stephane has captured the perfect balance of mixing the Past so you can bring yourself back in time ..example the absolutely beautiful bedrooms to the new ..the bathrooms where in both you will lack for nothing ..Everything is there that you could possibly need ..even a mini fridge..bathrobes and slippers ..the rooms are meticulous and clean ..the maids did a great job and are quite nice ..I love to swim and the indoor pool is beautiful ..where it is located is a surprise ..steeped in a time of wine .. The Château is magnificent . I Love to study History ..I was very Excited and Happy to be going to such a Historical place ..never have I related so much to Julie Andrews from the movie the sound of music ..just amusing things on about 7 different occasions..one while walking alone at fountain. anyways when I walked the grounds ,gardens , and stopped to look at the Wonderful Trees and architecture I would remember the history I had read about and in that moment was able to go back in time to that time and place and imagine the way it was back then and the people that once lived here and life as they knew it Stephane is undoubtedly the nicest kindest and most thoughtful host you could wish for …you don’t have to be into history as I am to enjoy it here ..this is an outstanding place on every level and the hospitality here makes you feel so good and welcome…especially if you’re from another country …you really are made to feel at home here ..comfortable secure ..and you’re made to feel all are very happy to have you as a guest ..I could not have been made to feel more welcome or better ..thank -you so much and Stephane is a superb host that will make everyone who visits happy I highly recommend this Castle/Chateau to visit …5 stars on every level. This spectacular villa, resting on an 18yh century vineyard, was fully restored and boats 6 large, comfotable guest rooms, each with a tastefull unique decor.
Madame Suzanne received us heartily and was very pleasant to talk with. We were received with an offer of coffee which came with chocolate brownies. Although booked in a specific room we were offer a choice on arrival.

We’ve had a great stay at the B&B! The room (pink one) was incredible and the jacuzzi with view on the village was perfect!! But what made this stay Amazing was the hostess, she was the most loving and kind women and she welcomed us with open arms. A visit to the caves who are located underneath the house were a total surprise but made the experience even more extraordinary. We really enjoyed it and will definitely visit again!!

Corinne welcomes you into the small wine village of Vouvray, in the heart of the Loire valley, where her typical touraine-style house is located. The 18th century house has been completely restored by her owner to create a refined atmosphere while maintaining the spirit of the place, such as the troglodyte cave where the breakfasts are served, that was originally used to extract the juice of the grapes during the wine production. All the guest rooms are individually decorated and comfortably furnished. La Closeraie is a nice and quiet place, ideally situated to rest and visit the city of Tours, the Touraine vineyards and the most splendid châteaux of the Loire such as Amboise, Chenonceau, Chambord and Chaumont sur Loire to mention but a few.
I’m on a hiking trip. Hot, exhausted. Corinne is so welcoming, so efficient, it’s better than coming home. My room is large, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. It has personality, it hasn’t been put together from a catalog. I loved the tour around her home, and the cave rooms! I haven’t eaten here, but her cave of wines is extensive, I’d bet her food will be delicious too.

We stayed at Clos Mariotte, unfortunately, for only one night at the end of a week in the Loire Valley. How we wish we had planned differently and spent more time here. The lady of the house was warm and welcoming and when we arrived we were due to, and had paid to, stay in an upstairs room but we visited during very hot weather and she kindly offered to move us to the downstairs troglodyte room as it was cooler. The room was perfect for us, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, the lady makes her own jam and a fruit compote to accompany the yoghurt. Wonderful and not too "hotel-like". Staying here truly felt like staying in a family home. With my very limited French I was welcomed into the vegetable patch and the man of the house proudly showed me what was being grown. Wonderful. We certainly hope to have the chance to stay here again on a visit to this lovely part of France.

We spent a week here at end of September, needing a central location to visit some of the many chateaux in the area. We received a warm welcome and were given a choice of pitches available. The toilet block was clean and showers spacious with plenty of hot water. The town with restaurants, tourist info, bakers, butchers, Auchan supermarket and fuel were 5 mins walk away. Even though the weather was inclement for our week, Dimitri kept the shower block clean and worked hard to keep the entrance free from falling leaves. We would recommend this site and definitely like to use it again.
