Great for a couple of nights, room is dated but room was a good size and bed comfy. There is no reception so not sure what you would do if you had a problem. We found it very strange that we had a list of things to do before checking out. Room had to go back to how it was when you walked in. Had to take own rubbish to the bins in car park and wash and dry our crockery and cups. Location is good and in the middle of town so easy to walk to almost everything.

Decent quality food and drinks - probally the pick in the town of the major establishments - when comparing to pub or bowling club. Mixture of Australian and Asian cuisine in air conditioned comfort. Staff too notch as well. Enjoy decent river views and ample parking. Prices reasonable

SCAMMERS!!!! Be careful people!!!! Don't let these people steal your money!!!! I am so angry. I stayed there for 1 night with some friends and they made me pay double the price with the excuse that the transaction didn't occur. Thankfully I realized that some time after so I contacted them and explained the situation but then it became almost impossible to talk to them as they were not responding my calls or emails. I have provided them bank statements and every proof they needed but it has been over 3 months now and I still haven't got my 300 dollars back. The funny thing is that Penny, the owner, had the courage to get angry and yell at me and hanged up on me on the phone. Very frustrating. PLEASE DON'T GIVE MONEY TO THIS DISHONEST BUSINESS!!!

Cabin 34 and 35 are the best cabins as they have ensuites, full kitchens and full or partial water views. The other cabins are shared bathrooms. Linen and towels have a one off cost of $15 or provide your own also returnable deposit of $20 for remote controls. It has its own jetty on the river and pylons to tie up your boats to. Canoes are for hire on an hourly basis. They have their own shop where you can get a variety of items but especially icecream :). Caravan park backs onto the calm river with a public walkway and flat grassy area in between, perfect for the kids to run around on. Sussex Inlet itself is a cute little town with everything you need including a cute cinema all within a 5 min walk. Facilities are well maintained, don't let the daggy privately owned caravans on site put you off. Would be happy to return.

I stayed at Calm Waters unit no. 1 with my brother for a quick vacation in Jervis Bay area and I'm pleased to say that it does look similar to the picture I saw when I booked it, albeit the decor has seen better days and can use a refresh. It was still acceptable, decently clean, and comfortable. The location are quite good and you do have access to the river in front of the property and they have one pier available for guest use, although it can only accommodate two water vessels, and there is already a vessel moored there when we arrive. There is no clear way on how you can put your boat in the water if you bring one with you as I did not see a ramp nearby. Parking space are plenty and you are allowed to park next to your unit. The check in process was easy. They have a locked box with the key in it, so you don't have to interact with the owners if you don't want to. Unfortunately they forgot to give me the code for the locked box in advance, so I did have to call them. However, the interaction with the owners was quick and pleasant, so I have no complaints on that regard. The unit kitchen is stocked with your standard cutlery and dishes, a fridge, oven/stove, microwave, and a kettle. There is a BBQ outside that you can use. The unit is also fitted with a smart TV that has Netflix on it. There is WiFi available that is surprisingly fast and have good signal strength. Towels are not included in the price and you have to pay extra $5 per guest. They also provided coin operated washing machine and dryer in the premise. Iron (but not ironing board) and hair dryers are provided. The unit I stayed in does have a particular smell which I can only describe as old/musty, wet fur, and possibly well used kitchen smell, which while it is weird, you will get used to it after a while. Just a warning, this unit did trigger a mild allergy and I did get a mild case of hay fever-like symptoms before my body adjust, but YMMV (bring antihistamine if you are sensitive to allergens). The property has wooden floor, and both units 1&2, and 3&4 are adjoining units, so you can potentially hear next door neighbour's footsteps if they are heavy stepper. The windows are a bit dodgy and can be difficult to close. The main bedroom windows was unable to be locked as far as I know, and the 2nd bedroom window frame was slightly warped and needed to be pushed from outside to close it properly. The night can be cold at certain times of year and there is no heater in the bedrooms, only blankets, so beware. The pillows provided could be replaced as it is getting flat, but you get lots of pillows so it is still acceptable. There is minor rust on the shower rails and the bed, but it was still acceptable. The toilet seat has some cosmetic issue as if someone has used a overly strong cleaning product on it, but it is otherwise functional. There is only one rubbish bin for the whole unit which was located in the kitchen which I thought was not enough (would have loved another bin in the bathroom) Unfortunately the 2nd bedroom's bed has not been made, so I do have to put bed sheets by myself. (I think this may be because we are 2 guests in a 5 guests max unit, and they must have assumed we will sleep together in the master bedroom which was made) The list of check-out "chore" list in the information sheet was quite surprising. I have never been in accommodation that requires you to sweep, wash, dry, and put every cutlery/dishes you used, clean the microwave/oven/stove/BBQ (if you've used and dirtied it) and take out the trash out of the unit. I think a gentle reminder/suggestion would have sufficed. We don't have/bring pets, but from what I've seen, the property is suitable for pet owners (as long you notified the owners when you booked). Overall this is a completely decent accommodation for the price and I would not mind going back there again in the future.

Laguna Lodge is best described as a peaceful, clean, relaxing waterfront destination surrounded by water, native bird life and kangaroos. It is a perfect getaway for couples, families and groups of any kind. Once you have stayed here with us, you are almost guaranteed to rebook and come again! You are made to feel very welcome by Tracy and Gaven, who are the resident owners. They consistently make sure every guest is comfortable whilst on their stay, whether it’s for 2 nights or 2 weeks you will have a relaxing time.
Just like to express our gratitude to Tracy for everything she did for our daughter and her friends that were stuck in Sussex Inlet after the fires. Tracy went above and beyond helping us even though Laguna Lodge was fully booked. She set up accommodation for four tired and stressed teenagers that couldn’t get home. What an amazing and caring person. I would recommend Laguna Lodge on just how amazing Tracy is. Thank you so very much for looking out for our precious children.
