Reviewed By chisbon1This hotel looks lovely on the photos but in reality it was far from it. Our ground floor room overlooked the lake so I opened the window and leant out to get a better view. It was then I found out that the window sills and ledges had just been painted. I reckon they used good quality paint as it took me ages to scrub off. My French is not good enough to suggest that a "wet paint" sign was a good idea and the receptionist spoke no English. We decided to go for a swim but soon changed our minds once we saw the pool. It had cloudy water which was dirty and full of dead insects. The entrance and bar area smells of sewage (my wife said not to use the word s**t!) Trouble is, this area is where they set up for breakfast. Speaking of which, I fancied the pancakes which I prefer warm so I managed to heat a few in the toaster and retrieve them with a pair of tongs (large toaster, tiny pancakes) I was halfway through the first one before I noticed that they had spots of green mould on the underside. The hotel didn't charge for one breakfast. On the desk in our room was a customer survey form to fill out but I don't think they really wanted it completed as there was no pen. Just as well really. The evening meal was very good although I am not sure why the French think it's ok to have dogs at the table.

Going Dutch in France Was a Treat!
Reviewed By peter_wylieUsed BB Fleurie as an overnight stop and we were absolutely delighted at the reception we received, the food and the room and layout of the hotel. The Dutch owner, and his wife and staff, went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the food he served up was a treat! Would recommend this place to everyone.

Great stopover hotel
Reviewed By RalphindevonThis hotel fell just right as we drove from the south back up north. We had the room at the top of the hotel on a very hot day and the room was very hot and never cooled down. There was a fan but it didn’t work and no aircon. Despite that it was a comfortable bed and a large room with 2 windows that opened on to a quiet courtyard. Breakfast was typical of this kind of French hotel and perfectly adequate. A nice small town with a few bars and restaurants, most closed on a Monday but we had a decent meal sat out opposite the hotel

Reviewed By Jane HThis is an interesting B&B in an 18th century(?) building with amazing decor. It's like being in a museum. The owners are friendly, but had very little English. The swimming pool was good.The B&B is located very close to the town and there is parking outside. The owners collected breakfast straight from the bakery (almost next door) so the bread and croissants were really fresh. Higly recommended.

La carte est variée avec une bonne partie de produits locaux ,les tarifs abordables. Nous avons passé un très agréable moment bon repas bonne ambiance un restaurant a recommander .

Good location and nice room
Reviewed By Liti HStayed 2 nights in March. It's a small hotel in the middle of the village, close to public parking. The room was very nice, with good wifi. Waling distance to restaurants and shopping. Not much to do in the village, but if you are visiting the area this is a nice place to stay.

It is always part of our holiday stopping off half way on our journey and also on our way back.....just a fabulous experience always !

Une Villa qui mérite bien son nom!!
Reviewed By Guy FEn Berry, nous allons régulièrement dans cette maison d'hôte qui reçoit surtout une clientèle étrangère. Le restaurant qui n'offre que peu de places ( réserver à l'avance) est excellent à un prix très raisonnable. Les hôtes sont charmants; le patron qui est le Chef apporte à sa cuisine une note "singapourienne". Le cadre est agréable à l'intérieur et quand il fait beau, il est possible de déjeuner ou dîner dans la campagne.

Reviewed By Sabaudia73Small hotel in St Amand that is well located. The room was spacious. The mattress was a bit tough. Linen was ok. Although I just had a coffee in the morning I was charged for a full breakfast. Parking space available in the street.
