We stayed here for two nights mid week. We had a standard double room at the front of the property that was very comfortable. Walk in power shower, heated towel rail, complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee tray with biscuits. Beautiful church opposite lit at night. All 5 rooms are on the first floor. Breakfast is an optional extra and that was very good. Great selection of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts before a full English. Freshly cooked hot and very tasty. Situated in a very convenient spot just a 15 minute walk to the beach and close to the new forest. Locally there are two good pubs, the best for us was the Walker Arms a five minute walk. Food there is great with a special deal each week night and well worth a visit if you don’t want to drive. The proprietors of the Beechlodge, Adrian and Kate, are very hospitable and create a relaxed and laid back atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend this place ansd quite sure we will visit again. Many thanks for making us welcome. Jan and Les.

Independent Restaurant, Bar & Rooms. Stunning Cliff Top Views, Friendly Service, Delicious Food. Eat, Drink & Sleep.
Travelling to see family. Room was an adequate size, facilities were great for a short stay. View from windows overlooked the sea and the Isle of Wight. Bathroom was very modern and clean. Bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows were provided. Restaurant in the hotel is a must! Delicious food. We were not disturbed at night time as music/bar closed at 11pm sharp. Staff really made our stay special, very accommodating, nothing was an issue or problem. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Room was very bright in the mornings - approximately 5am - due to being close to the sea\horizon. It wasn’t much of an issue for us, but be mindful if you are a light sleeper. Would recommend to stay. We would like to arrange another trip soon. ?

Imagine a fun-filled caravan park inside the boundaries of the New Forest National Park... waking each morning to the sounds of nature, knowing everything you could possibly need is right on your doorstep. Welcome to Hoburne Bashley – with its acres of wide open space, it’s the perfect holiday park for touring caravans and family holidays in the New Forest. Fancy a game of crazy golf... or taking things more seriously on our nine hole, par three golf course? Or how about taking to the Park’s tennis court or football field – or knocking down some pins at the Hoburne Bowl? For the kids there’s the Sammy Seahorse Club – and (for the kid in you), there’s an exhilarating flume in our indoor pool, plus splashing opportunities galore in our heated outdoor swimming and paddling pools. You could of course just go exploring: the enigmatic expanse of the New Forest one way, the sparkling ocean the other. And if all that tires you out, relax in the Park’s sauna or steam room, and imagine... well, anything.
We stayed for 4 nights in the May half term and it completely exceeded our expectations! Our caravan was spotless as was the entire site. The playground and pools were well kept and the lawn area was lovely. Our 6 year old absolutely loved the evening entertainment and the Sammy Squad staff were great with all the kids. Simon and Cameron at woodland H were also fantastic, Cameron did a good bug hunt and the woodland story evening with Simon was the highlight of our week. Only small downside is that the evening kids activity was advertised at 2 different times so there was some confusion and as it finished later than we were told there was nowhere for us to get food (the onsite shop was handy and very well stocked but closed at 8 and the restaurants stop seating you at 8.15 so make sure you aren't caught out! Turned out there were lots of nearby takeaways so we didn't starve!) We also seemed unable to order food or drink with the app so don't bother with that. The lunch menu was the same as dinner and there was an hour wait for it most days so we ate lunch in our caravan instead. The food itself was very good though on the occasions we had it in the evening. Would definitely return just plan our meals a bit better next time I think!

We stayed here last night to attend a celebration locally. The accommodation is very tired, the room was dark and most of the lights didn't work. There was no hairdryer in the room as stated on the website. Our bed was comfortable but our friend's beds weren't. Breakfast was ok but not great quality. The coffee was good though.

Just wanted to write a review as I strongly rely on other people's reviews when choosing where to stay in this country and abroad. Location was brilliant, for walking in the local area and short drives to other areas. We visited with our dog and 3 year old son and both were made to feel extremely welcome. The lodge was immaculate, cosy, comfortable and had some lovely personal touches such as fresh milk, condiments, tea bags and provided all the essentials needed for a self catering stay I.e. ironing board, washing machine, heating, towels and many more. The hosts can not be given enough praise, Karen and Adrian are so welcoming and friendly and their service is second to none - they cannot do enough for you. We had the best three nights and didn't want to come home and back to reality. If you are considering this accommodation, book it. I always try and provide a balanced view when leaving a review but I genuinely cannot find fault with anything. Preparing to go back this summer with more family members to stay in the lodge next door also. Such a great trip and gutted to be back home now.

Came across this b&b after all the premier inns were full. Glad we did as we had been to Devon and decided to stop in the new forest so my wife could see her sister. Excellent service and very comfortable, clean, and quiet room . Lovely breakfast too. Will be back next time we are heading that way.
