I am in Mbeya since March 2020 and I was looking for accommodation around the area. One thing I am sure, there is no better and relaxfull place in around the city. Stuff is very kind and always supporting. Now I moved here and I am very happy with the choice. Edi (Romania)

The Mbeya Hotel welcomes you to the world of delicious cuisine. Established in 2005, Mbeya Hotel is well known in Tanzania for its gastronomic delights. Mbeya Hotel is always striving to improve itself and would be very happy to receive your feedback. Thank you for giving Mbeya Hotel the opportunity to look after you and wishing you a pleasant stay.
Very Good Indian Food.? Friendly Staff? Small Old Rooms? Good Cleanliness ? Dated Hotel policy of charging 2.5% extra for card payment. Extremely frustrating. ???? Overall the only option in town to get Indian food.

The Karibuni Center is located in the provincial capital Mbeya in the "Forest Area". It can easily be reached from the Tanzam (Tanzania Zambia) Highway by following the signs. The center consists of a couple of guest rooms, a restaurant, a conference hall, a bookshop and a church. The Karibuni Center is a project of the Mbalizi Evangelistic Church. The clean, simple and inexpensive guest rooms all have their own shower and toilet and are equipped with mosquito nets. The parking lot is safe and guarded day and night. It is advisable to book your rooms ahead of time via phone or e-mail.
A dream of a place to start our Tanzanian adventure. Such good value, lovely quiet hotel and Blandina and Debola and their team of friendly staff gave us the perfect welcome. We liked it here so much we stayed 5 nights. Breakfast was so so good with the best coffee we’ve had in Africa. Location, while not in the centre, is actually perfect as it’s in a quiet area next to the university campus which has a lovely relaxed student vibe and you can buy water, phone credit etc. Town is a $1 tuktuk away and there’s always the nearby (rather dirty, noisy and dusty) mainstrip where loads of buses and dalladallas are found.

We came from Katavi national park to Ruaha national park. We spent one night in Ifisi Community Centre in January 2018. The location of the hotel is excellent, in a peaceful area of Mbeya. The cottages are located in a very beautiful park with many flowers and birds. In the garden, we have a panoramic view on the mountains in the surroundings The room are well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The food is good. The staff is friendly and professional. In the garden, there’s a cottage, where we bought very fine local crafts, made by local people to support the community. I highly recommend to stay Ifisi Community Centre in Mbeya!!!

This was a perfect stay for even western standards. I stayed longer because I preferred Beaco to the Marriott chain that was waiting for me in Dar Es Salaam. I stayed in one of the beautiful cottages. The back-up generator worked nicely, so when the rest of Mbeya was without electricity for hours, I was comfortable. Nice hot showers all day, heat for some cold nights, flat screen television, and fast wifi made my two week stay delightful. If I needed anything, I did not have to wait long for assistance like other establishments. I also found the food AMAZING, even though I am vegan. The chefs make everything from scratch so it was really nice to have fresh and differing options every day. The breakfast buffet has a variety of options which were delicious as well. But best of all, the staff were extremely professional, kind, and the establishment was clean, clean, clean. Not a mosquito or fly in sight. I will be back! ?

Nice place to stay if you are on a budget. The food is great, the rooms are clean and spacious and the service is excellent. They have free WiFi but the signal was too weak in my room. It's centrally located and close to banks, restaurants and post office. Its located few minutes walk to the stage if you will be using public transport.

Prima service.
