Pengkalan balak have a lot of little chalet. Just walking distance from the beach. I saw this nice resort on a facebook post. Booked on a weekday, just a day. Need to get away had a busy week. Foubd this place very unique. Taking its name from a P.Ramlee movie. So naturally the resort is set towards that theme. The rooms are named with the characters from his movies. We have the Ayu (20 cent) room. Room is simple decorated but tastefully. Clean. We had the room on the 3rd floor. But not facing the beach. As the beach view was already taken. But we still got a glimpse of the sea. The whole resort is made from wood and beautifully decorated tiles. P.Ramlee music was played throught the day. But tv channels was all local channels. But we didnt care much as we came only for the beach. A very unique hidden gem. For dinner head over to the D Ribut by the beach. Nice view and the food was also nice. The mee udang had 4 big prawns and cost about RM12 All in all Kampong Pinang Sebatang Chaler is a nice place to visit for a short getaway. The rate we got was only RM150

Small private beach getaway from the big city. With 7 rooms all together ( 1 unit of The Villa & 6 units of Chalets ). Quiet and peaceful retreat brings nostalgia of a traditional Malaysian village, nature and culture with beautiful wave sounds just at the tip of your ears.
What an amazing calm and peaceful place to stay. Our hosts Peter & Aimee are generous, kind and nothing was too much trouble. The garden is beautiful and well manicured. The steel plunge pools are a great idea and just what is required to cool off on a hot day. The chalets are immaculately clean, minimalistic but have everything you need i.e. kettle, fridge, crockery etc. We loved the bathroom being outside - it was great showering under the stars. Fuga is next door to a turtle sanctuary & we were lucky enough to see hatchlings in the sanctuary and also witnessed around 150 per night being released safely in to the sea. WOW - we also saw 2 turtles digging their nests and laying eggs before returning to the sea. Fuga village is not on the normal tourist trail and so makes it a great place to mix with the local villagers and experience the real Malaysia. It is located at the end of the village and approximately 4 metres from the beach. Most days we had the beach to ourselves - bonus. Plenty of places to eat within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Local food is delicious and very inexpensive. Peter gave us some great tips on local menus and even offered to collect takeaways for us if he was going out. We ate at Kemunting Food Court, Coconut Shake and two other local eateries serving street food. If you are looking for a secret getaway away from the maddening crowd, then this is the place to go. Very highly recommended. We stayed for 2 weeks - absolutely fabulous. A big Thank you to PETE & AIMEE for an amazing experience and a brilliant peaceful getaway.

A very nice place for big family gathering. We had fun spending our weekend there recently. We had BBQ, mini tele-match and karaoke with our own equipment. The place is located in a local village but isolated from any neighbors which made it ok for us to have karaoke in the evening and other activities. We were very noisy and loud! ? The design of the place it very practical especially the second kitchen near the swimming pool. Almost all rooms are with attached bathrooms. It was well maintained and clean. We are very happy with the recommended caterer too. The food prepared for us was very tasty and delivered on time based on our request. The only set-backs are on the pest control during night time. There were too many bugs and other pest at night. I think because the place is located near orchards and rubber plantations. The other thing is on the additional charges for the karaoke facility. I felt there should not be any additional charges especially for those we rented the whole place like us.
