The property was clean and comfortable, although the outside area needed some attention, small pieces of trash, cigarette butts and dog poop in the pet area. I can't believe people don't pick up after their pets. The staff was friendly. The hot tub was not in use, so if that's important to you, check with them before you book. The complimentary breakfast was average, but the eating area was small. Overall a good value.

If you want a fancy place pay the $200. Its nothing fancy but if you just need a place to hang your hat for the night then this is the place for you. Front desk lady went out of her way twice for us. The room was clean, comfortable bed, the shower was hot, and a REAL coffee pot in the room. We left early in the morning so we didn't have a chance to try the breakfast. We will definitely stay here again if ever in LA Junta!

This hotel needs a major overhaul. I realize it's a small town, but what we paid for a regular room comparing its way over charging. Signs falling off hallway halls, towel hooks fall off,all furniture badly scratched lamp shades barely hanging, toilet is one of those small ones sits low. Breakfast was very disappointed. I'm comparing to a week's stay at a difficult each night. Now pluses. Friendly staff, cookies, and coffee in common areas upon checkin.

My choices were limited and many hotels in the area had no vacancy so I was glad to have a place to stay. My room was reasonably clean and the front desk attendant was friendly. The sheets should have been replaced 2 years ago and were threadbare. It was a bit off putting to be honest because it felt like I was laying directly on the mattress. I did discuss the sheets with the front desk. I was told they had been back ordered for several months. Other hotels I stayed in on this trip all had decent sheets. The A/C worked but for some reason the room felt very stuffy ... almost like the humidity was not being removed. The breakfast was basically not existent. I had some coffee and left. For what was offered I felt that the price was too high.

This is not an entirely bad park. The people are good people. They suspected a thief was tent camping and warned us. it made sense--the fellow tried to sell me a brand new robotic vacuum cleaner he "did not need for his RV." The indoor facilities were impeccably clean, better. Cleanest restrooms and showers my wife or I have seen. It is easy to navigate the interior roads. The problem is the ground. It is 50% dirt and 50% gravel. It was improperly engineered when developed and drains poorly, worse. We were in the middle of puddles and mud. This can be corrected, it would take much engineering and park overhaul. I will gladly stay here again if I know there is no rain in the forecast. It is in an excellent location for one who desires to stop in La Junta.

We are a family and pet friendly, non-smoking hotel that is located within driving distance of many local and cultural attractions.
Picked this because I needed a night in La Junta and wanted a budget accommodation. Outside looked dated, but room was clean and seemed to be newly remodeled- great bed, newer tables and chairs and bathroom features. However, room was small. Had a little window view of railroad - but, heck, this was budget. Heard some cows at night and got a slight whiff of the the local feedlot - but not bad. Covid-era breakfast was not to be found when I arrived in office at 7a - though looked like some pre-packaged rolls were coming. Might stay again if budget was a consideration. Give it an okay rating.

Enjoy a quiet night's sleep at the Midtown. Proud to be the 2015 Certificate of Excellence winner two years in a row. Thanks to our guests for their reviews of our motel.
I was refused a room I had booked at check-in as the manager said that my dog (40lbs) was over their pet size policy that was not posted at the Motel or on their website/ booking. The employee was extremely rude and yelled at me to leave the property immediately when I tried to read their posted Policies.
