Bastar Jungle Resort On the outskirts of Jagdalpur, the district headquarter and nerve centre of Bastar, just where the forest begins, is our Unique, Bastar Jungle Resort. (BJR). Away from the maddening crowd of the town, set amidst nature, BJR is a set of picture perfect cottages and tents-if you want more adventure-adjacent to some villages and ponds. Built in the Chhattisgarh style, these cottages are comfortable and pleasant and are fitted with modern amenities. Among the many things that you can do here, the most exciting can be treks to the tribal villages close by. Walk along the winding rough and ready pathways into these villages, meet the friendly village folk, talk to them about yourself and about their life, join them in preparing a meal or milking their cows, sit and watch the gentle rhythms of their daily chores…in all this, discover a world you thought did not exist…of simplicity, gentleness and warmth so rare in our times.
What could have been set up as one of the best jungle lodges of the country has been simply let to rot and degrade because of poor management and seeming lack of interest! While the neighbouring state of MP has dozens of top notch Jungle retreats, Chhattisgarh doesn't have any. This could have filled the gap, or at least been a start. Alas! The folks who own or run this place seem to be thinking otherwise and are operating it like a lower grade urban lodge! The quality of sheets, and various other fittings in the room seemed questionable. Not something we were comfortable with, especially during the pandemic times! But, with all that being said the company of flora and fauna you will be in during your stay would certainly make you forget all that and soak in pure nature pampering! LOCATION: Excellent location in the fringes of the jungle and not too far from Jagdalpur town DINE + DRINK: They have a restaurant run by the local boys. Surprisingly the food quality was quite good and the chef even prepared some Chattisgarh specialities upon request. ROOM: We stayed in one of the stand alone cottages, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Lovely views of the gardens and greenery from the sweet sitout of the cottage where we spent our evenings listening to the sounds of nature ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: decent sized bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep, though the quality of the sheets and linen worried us a lot!; BATHROOM: Very basic and spartan bathroom; TOILETRIES: None, bring your own! FACILITIES: No Gym, or pool. Pure jungle chill! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs, but can certainly be trained to have more of a sunny disposition and deliver a welcoming smile once in a while! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: No WIFI or TElevision. Just pure jungle chills!

First luxurious Resort of Chhattisgarh State. Situated at outskirts of Jagdalpur, on the way to Biggest waterfall of Asia Chitrakote water falls. We have all together 14 cottages, apart from standard facility, we have Swimming pool . A property where you can enjoy blend of traditional with modern amenities.
This is a resort with ample open space a very nice garden and sufficient parking. Rooms are big and spacious (I was staying in platinum grade room). Thee best part about this resort is the food. They serve only veg food but whatever they make it tastes amazing. There was not a single dish which we did not like. You can just stay here for the food. They also arrange bon fire on request and has sufficient space for groups and parties. The problem was with hospitality. You have to take your toiletries with you. They do jot provide any toothpaste or dental kit. Also, the quality of soap and shampoo is really bad. This may be the result of Bastar not being your usual tourist destination and hence people at the resort do not have the exposure and/or experience of managing tourist's expectations (which resorts in famous tourist destinations are used to). All in all, a very good place to stay if you are visiting Bastar. Close to Tirathgar Waterfall as well as Chitrakoot Waterfall and Kanger Valley National Park.

Stayed for a night a Laxman Avenue Hotel at Jagdalpur of Chhattisgarh state, on way to watch the wild beauty of Chitrakote waterfalls, also called as Indian Niagra. The hotel is not found at any of the travel portals, I got reference of this hotel from my cousin. I checked in with family and had a good stay at reasonable cost. Good hospitality and overall clean rooms and ambience surprised us at that small city of Jagdalpur where above average rated accommodations are very limited. Only suggestion to hotel authority, please keep hotel lobby, stairs and lift imteriors clean and dust free, it spoils first impression of the visitors about the hotel.

This is not a resort, very misleading information on various booking sites This is like a marriage venue with a big lawn They have made 4 rooms behind, more like outhouse with roof made of asbestos sheet There is absolutely nothing in this place as resort not even basic facilities of a lodge or dharamshala Please do not book this place for stay

The hotel is poorly managed, they give water bottle with cap opened and normal tap water filled inside, poor bed and linen, no facility for tea or coffee, too much dust and bad washrooms , staff are not qualified and very much unprofessional
