Reviewed By karisag2019My words cannot even do this place justice. We had a 24 hour lay over at MXP. We decided last minute to book Le Magnolie. It had really great reviews. It was perfect for us. The cab driver from the airport ripped us off, but they charged us 40euros to go about 7k. When we arrived we were greated by the owner Grace and she was extremly friendly. She makes you feel like family. The our room felt like we were in a small country cottage. It was comfortable and quiet. We walked 20min to the town center and had awesome pizza at New Planet. We slept so sound. The next morning we requested breakfast, she had a small spread of food. We had a great converstion with Grace. She honestly makes you feel like family. She then drove us to the airport for a small fee. We acciddently took our room key, we realized when we went through customs at airport. We felt so bad, that once we made it to america we overnighted it. Love love love this place we wish we could have stayed longer.

Reviewed By Terri MWe toured northern Italy and wanted to stay somewhat close to Melpensa airport for an early morning flight. I found reviews about this hotel over a bakery online, emailed the host, and had my reservations in a timely manner. We knew we'd be coming into town later than the check in time, so Roberto and Fabio went out of their way to meet us at the hotel, check us in, and make sure we were comfortable with all arrangements. They gave us information on what to do during our short stay in Gallerate, especially since it was a Sunday evening, and not many things were open. We found a local pub to eat, drink, and watch soccer within easy walking distance. In the morning, breakfast was just perfect and a cab was called (and came within 2 minutes) to take us to the airport. The hosts are gracious and generous, and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped with sizable bathrooms and kitchenettes. Security is excellent and everything is updated and beautiful! I highly recommend this as an alternative to a boring, traditional hotel!

Tremendous Staff (Erica and Mario) and well apportioned hotel
Reviewed By S6018QGmichaelrHaving visited Italy multiple times, and typically spending more than 25 days per year in hotels and rental homes, I have experienced a wide range of accommodations and staff across many properties. I selected this hotel initially as it was one of the few that both listed and reserved Queen beds, offered Parking and was not far from major roadways and the airport. The hotel was excellently maintained, offered lot (with video surveillance) and garage parking (10 euro/night, which I only had to use on Friday), a nice well apportioned breakfast area (with a coffee bar) with optional (6 euro) buffet. The bed was a full queen and was in excellent condition and the property was updated and clean. Most importantly, the staff was excellent, specifically Erica and Mario. Erica and Mario were professional, friendly, very helpful and a wealth of information. From assistance in notifying us and assisting us in navigating the daily transportation strikes (which was a life saver in assuring we met our designated tour times in Milan), to restaurant and other recommendations making our visit more enjoyable. Both Erica and Mario went far beyond their responsibilities insuring the hotel as maintained, customers were taken care of, especially during short staff and unusual circumstance periods, while maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere. If I were the property owner, I would insure I did not lose these two to other opportunities.

Reviewed By Danny_S_IsWe chose this hotel for being close to Malpensa airport (er arrived late at night and had to get our rented car late from there) and next to the train station to Milan (and airport- very convenient). Room and breakfast were good too.

Reviewed By Sightseer56363177641Oltre al fatto che la prima sera non avevo l’acqua calda, a causa ( caldaia rotta) e di non essere stato avvisato da nessuno ( ne dal titolare , ne per telefono, quando ho chiamato per avere il codice di ingresso) quando ho chiamato io, per lamentarmi mi è stato detto che mi avevano lasciato un biglietto in camera ( bugiardi). Per la colazione ho trovato 1 solo buono in camera per il primo giorno ( colazione fatta al bar dall’altra parte della strada) per gli altri giorni ( 4 ) ho pagato di tasca mia. Inoltre la struttura fornisce dei cucini cose molli che ti viene il torcicollo e hai il rischio di finire in ospedale a metterti il collare, che guarda caso e a fianco. In tutto questo 4 notti che in questa struttura non auguro s nessuno.

Excellent Accomodation and Location
Reviewed By Iain MI stayed at the Astoria in Gallarate for a few nights and found it to be an excellent hotel . The location is first class so near the airport (free shuttle on return trip ) and also only 20mins from Lake Magiorre . Milan centre is also a short trip in the train . The station is nearby . When i was there it was so warm but the rooms have aircon which is so good to have in the warm weather . The breakfast is very good and the staff at the hotel are very helpful . It is a very friendly hotel with lots of bars and restaurants close by . Excellent hotel . Great location . Lovely staff . Highly recomended.
