Welcome to Chipping Norton - or 'Chippy' to the locals - a lively little market town with a bustling vibe and busy programme of events. Indeed, the 'town of ten festivals' is known for its celebrations of fiction, food, magic and more. ChipLitFest has the likes of Fay Weldon and David Nicholls amongst its guests. Book a room at our Premier Inn Chipping Norton hotel and you'll be walking distance from the town's medieval marketplace, museum and theatre. Or hop in the car and you're three miles from the ancient Rollright Stones. When it's time to kick back, you'll find plenty of space in our new, modern rooms which feature 40" flat-screen TVs and kingsize Hypnos beds. You'll also find a tempting place to eat, with our on-site Thyme restaurant serving delicious breakfasts, dinners and drinks.
This hotel is in a great location for the Cotswolds and Stratford upon Avon. However, the WiFi is non existent and no phone signal unless you squeeze up to the window, if you were lucky. The young lady on reception was very sarcastic when I asked her to enable my key card to work to allow me into my room. I had used it the night before but it wouldn't work. Maybe the staff need to have apology lessons, what happened to customer service? The room only had enough tea, coffee for one night and no toilet paper. I know it's not the Hilton but this is basic requirements.

Quite honestly, the most filthy, dank, smelly, uncomfortable hotel I’ve ever stayed in. 3 stars is a joke. No soap in the bathroom, half a toilet roll, the shower seemed to only operate at 300 degrees. This place needs to be shut down. Truly awful experience.

Literally flawless stay with lots of special touches from the staff - the brandy (complimentary) was well appreciated in this unseasonably cold June!! Rooms are lovely, the bar also and the breakfast outstanding. I also wish my bed was as comfortable as this one, or maybe not as I'd never get up for work! Highly recommended.

The Kings Arms has been a popular pub since the 17th century, due to its ideal location, friendly service, good food, well kept ales and high quality accommodation. Currently offering 12 well appointed rooms, all of which are en-suite and can be easily made into twin or double accommodation, the Kings is also ideal for families, with 2 larger sized family rooms available. Centrally located, the Kings is perfectly placed for shoppers looking to take a break from Chipping Norton's busy high street, or for those planning a drink and a bite to eat before an evening at the nearby theatre.
Average pub, unkempt outdoors Asked about sky sport and assured would be shown on the date requested - arrived with our family and friends to watch football and was turned away as watching racing Pub was completely empty and happy to turn away custom! Strange…..

Located in the Cotswolds, the heart of rural England, The Forge was once the village blacksmith‘s and farrier, but in recent years it has been converted into the warm and comfortable home it is today, while retaining many of the original features. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, comfortable seats and refreshments. Two bedrooms are with traditional four-poster bed and the third bedroom contains a King size or twin beds with a shower room fitted with a modern rain-shower head.
Had a lovely 5 day stay at The Forge. What can i say but perfect sums it up. Had the four poster king room, everything you needed was there. Breakfast cooked by Paul and served by Anne-Marie was delicious everything was fresh to order and cooked to perfection. Had a wonderful time would recommend anyone wanting a stay in the area to stay here you cannot do better.

The Salford Inn is a family run traditional village pub located in a quiet village outside Chipping Norton in the Cotswold countryside. The pub was fully renovated in 2016 and 3 brand new en-suite rooms were created in 2017. We serve home cooked food at lunch and dinner and have a fully stocked bar with great guest ales, and french wine. We have free wifi and off road parking. All the rooms are modern and tastefully decorated with oak furniture throughout, two rooms are twin/doubles with en-suite bathrooms and the studio room has a kitchenette and en-suite shower room. We serve continental breakfast in your room and a fully cooked breakfast can be provided for an additional charge. All rooms are accessed from the outside and there are a short flight of stairs to get to the studio room. We have a delightful sheltered garden and patio area which is a great place to eat outside or have drinks in the sunshine. If your up for a walk , Salford is a great place to start with 5 walks intersecting the village. Chipping Norton is 2 miles away where you can visit some of the antique and boutique shops of simply pick-up some groceries. If you fancy a drive into the Cotswold countryside we are 15 mins from the beautiful market towns of Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Morton in the Marsh.
We booked the Salford Inn for a one night stay this weekend. There is so much potential, but unfortunately it didn’t quite live up to expectation. The room was located in an outbuilding at the back of the car park, perfectly pleasant. The “breakfast basket” however was not. The fridge was not to temperature and the milk was warm and curdled, the ham was half eaten and one of the bottles of orange juice had the seal broken and someone had previously taken a sip out of it. Needless to say, we didn’t touch any of this. When we returned from our evening meal in Chipping Norton we had a quick drink at the bar before heading back to the room, we were asked for full payment of our stay. We wanted to drop the key back this morning, to air our experience, but no-one to be seen- just left the key in the room instead. Cheap price for one night, but the stay sadly reflects this.

Just back from a lovely 2 night stay at The Crown Inn. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our beautiful room (Great Tew) which had everything we could need, was very well thought out and made for a relaxing break. We had several drinks in the cosy bar throughout our stay where staff and locals were very friendly. We also had a delicious meal on our first night. The breakfasts were fantastic...homemade granola was so tasty and the eggs benedict is probably the best I've ever had. I'm so sorry we didn't catch the name of the Aussie (I think?) lady who was fantastic throughout.

This place was such a little gem! The restaurant itself feels very homely, rustic & quaint. The food was unbelievable- such wonderful rich tastes. Love that the menu is relatively small, but the dishes they serve they have absolutely perfected!
