Reviewed By Celeste YThis is an amazing hotel. My husband Nazim and I are so looking forward to going back again as this gives you all the charm and elegance you ever dreamed of in Bavaria. It is nestled in one of the most picturesque Bavarian villages called Bischofsgrün but is not far from the more sophisticated town of Bayreuth. Our room which was a suite was beautiful and very spacious with two bathrooms, sitting room and kitchenette. The food is fabulous and dining room is beautiful and all the local favorites are on the menu. The hotel has quite an array of antiques scattered about that are most interesting. Don’t hesitate to book here or attend an event when it happens at this magical hotel.

A nice family hotel

It was quite comfortable, with a good shower and an electrical drying rack, which comes in handy for drying your freshly washed cycling clothes. The restaurant was quite good actually, with a certain refinement that you do not always find in the German kitchen

Apparte la piccola scomoda pendenza della terrazza, che dava un senso iniziale di disagio pero'subito poi rimpiazzata dalle comodissime poltroncine da giardino, ci siamo rilassati e abbiamo degustato piatti tipici del luogo con abbondanti porzioni alla bavarese degne di lottatori di Sumo. Nzomma dopo quell abboffata ci siamo fatti una passeggiata nel parco naturale per alleggerirsi di qualche caloria. Non ho dato 5 stelle perche' in qualche modo e uscito fuori quel modo di fare autoctono che li contraddistingue dall eccellenza e li declassa ad una piu che sufficenza sull ospitalita'.

Reviewed By emando12Gute Lage (Schneeberg + Ochsenkopf in Sichtweite), gute Ausstattung (Wi-Fi, Parkplatz, top Matratze, vernünftig ausgestattete Küche, möblierte Terrasse, kleiner Pool im Garten, komfortable Apartment nah am Ortszentrum, alles sauber und gepflegt), freundliche und sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber, sehr gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Best value for the money.
Reviewed By Heimo_HanninenI spent two nights in the gasthaus style hotel. single room was Ok with a bath. Could not darken the room from street light, but did not bother me. The church across the street starts a noisy wake up call too early. Locals are probably used to that. Breakfast was included to the very modest price. The restaurant offers very good Franken meals, a bit heavy but tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is good, in the middle of the small village, close to lifts and skiing tracks, 500m - 1000m. Many nice cafes and restaurant in walkable distance. One shop in 100 m range.
