Thank you for your interest in The Peerless Resort, Mukutmonipur. There's no other place to relax and enjoy nature's bounty than on the banks of a lake surrounded by forests and green hills. The Peerless Resort at Mukutmonipur in West Bengal is one such serene getaway that helps you rejuvenate your spirits and connect with nature. The lakeside resort's picturesque red-tiled cozy bungalows surrounded by lawns and flowerbeds are themselves a visual treat and help to take you far-far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Peerless Resort at Mukutmonipur is simply another word for total relaxation. The serenity and greenery combined with resort's excellent service and great food means that you can have a truly enjoyable time. The resort has 19 rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant & bar, Activity rooms with Table tennis, Carom, Chase & Badminton court, Children's play ground and a banquet hall that seats 60 guests.
The Peerless Resort is located about 2-3 km away from the dam and the main market area of Mukutmanipur, in the midst of a tribal village with sparse population. This is the only property in Mukutmanipur that has such a location advantage and a grand view. The property is well landscaped and spread out with ample space for drive-in and car parking, with single storied cottages/rooms across, but only a handful of them dotting the edge of the lake....the lake view cottages. We were allotted S-2, probably one of the two best located cottages in the entire resort. The room was simple with basic amenities, but the view from the large paned window and the balcony outside, was indeed spectacular. We were checked into the room by our bellboy, Swapan (he shared his mobile number for anytime service), and soon we realized that he has been dedicatedly assigned to our cottage. And he did keep the promise of a dedicated personalized service. The dining hall / restaurant....Madol....is centrally located, rather non-descript and small given the number of guests the resort can host. Food was healthy and largely tasty. Though they had quite a few items in the menu, but we found the Bengali cuisine to be more suited for the palate. They usually had a buffet spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner.....quite satisfying! The only sore part of the stay would be the housekeeping or rather the absence of it, and the absence of service other than that provided by Swapan. Swapan attended to us very well, but anything told to anyone else was very conveniently missed. The housekeeping bit was limited to only sweeping the floors....had to make-do with the same set of towels and linens for 3 days....that's a bit on the unacceptable side I'd say, especially so when you are paying in upwards of 10k per day as a package.

My wife and I had been to this resort recently in connection with a meeting there. The resort has been planned beautifully with cottages with all amenities and landscaped garden which is well maintained. However upkeep and maintenance of the entire place could do with some attention. The conference hall will be much better if it is upgraded with multi media facilities which may attract many groups for organizing meetings and seminars.

My wife and I had been to this place for a program recently for the first time although it has been in operation for quite some time near my home town. Although started with big ideas, it seems it has not gained the popularity it desired. Could do with better maintenance and upgraded service. More advertisement is also possible required.
