4 traditional Maramures houses beautifully restored by an English family who live in the picturesque village of Breb in Northern Transylvania. Sleeps up to 20 people. Breakfast included along with an introduction to rural Romanian peasant life. The standard of the accommodation is high along with the attention to detail. Each person who stays at the Village Hotel - Transylvania is a guest in our home and our village, and made to feel that way.
I really liked it and got sort of friends with the animator Vitalie, he let me do the lights at the mini disco too! The whole animation team was great! I would love to go back here! And the jungle show was so good, i loved it!

We had an amazing experience staying here for 2 nights! The owners are so welcoming, felt like we were part of the family. They offer both traditional and modern rooms (we picked the traditional room) and the food was delicious! The grounds are beautiful, with the welcoming gate, wooden houses, animals, outdoor seating and wooden swing, garden, etc. Highly recommend!

During my short break in Romania, we stay for one night at this guest-house in the Maramures area. We had here the dinner and breakfast. For my first time in my life, I ate fresh milk, what a flavor, absolutely amazing. The silence and the sound of nature make me want to return for a longer stay. Only in a safari made a few years ago in South Afrika, I felt connected with nature like here.

I have no words enough to discribe the location, the food and the people running this location. I have never had a chance for such a tasty food( everthing is home mare, fresh milk, cream, butter etc.) On the top of this is " Horica" home drink, made from plums or aples.Strong and tasty, no matter how much you drink, next morning you will feel fresh as new. Another thing: for 3 nights with 2meals per day and horica / as much as you can drink /included, for 2 adluts we have payed 200 UDS. It's an experience which will make you to change your opinion about Romania

we spent 3 nights here and wished for more. our hostess (sorry, I forgot her name) didn't speak a word of English, but we got by with Google translate. the room was clean and pretty, though not very big, but very comfortable. Breb is a surprisingly interesting place to just wander around. everyone was very friendly. definitely take the hostess up on cooking for you. we were in Romania 11 days total, and my wife and I both agreed the best meals we had were here! I think she charged us about $12.50 each for breakfast and dinner each day, and it was way more than we could eat. everything very fresh, from the eggs to the chicken to the milk straight from the cow. this place is a little hard to find, but worth it, and it made a great base to explore this part of mare mures
We do not give up the traditions, keeping them unaltered! On Sunday Sunday, we put our popular strawberries, and so we go to the church. For us the ancient tradition is a pride! For Christmas we go with the carols, Epiphany the virgins still steal at night, gates, and Easter we all gather together, mosques and cocons alike, to the shed to warm a traditional game in Historical Maramures.
