When I was given tickets to see Box Skaggs at the Peppermill Concert Hall, I was expecting to visit a venue that fits Wendover - small, mediocre and disappointing. Boy, was I wrong, This venue is incredible! Start with free parking that is close to the front entrance, then move to the incredible bar. It has friendly bartenders and the most incredible beer dispensers (magnets) I have ever seen. The seats are wide and comfortable, with plenty of legroom. Sound system was flawless as was the entire show. My friends who gave me the tix have been to numerous shows here and have loved them all.

Wendover Will is on the opposite side of town from Montego Bay, but really only about a mile away. We drove to it at night the first time. The kids thought it was really cool to see a 30 ft lit up cowboy in a "gambling" town. Completely different from our town. :) There is a grassy area at the base, so you may take pictures. We parked in front of it, just a little off of the road, which is probably not what the township wants you to do, but the traffic was very light. We hopped out very quickly and took a quick picture.

We went to the visitors center when we arrived in Utah and decided to take a side trip to this airfield museum. What a history lesson and so appropriate for these times of conflict between US and Korea. The history of the 509th Composite Group (Enola Gay & Bock's Car) which trained for the first and to date only atomic bombardment of one nation against another. There is a monument that stands as a symbol of hope that mankind will reason and work together for the ultimate goal of world peace.

We have visited Wendover resorts many times and have always enjoyed our stay. The shuttles will transport you from one casino to the others. They will also shuttle you to a market And the museum. The food is excellent in the fine dining restaurants.

10 cousins from SD took a Wendover Tour of the Flats and surrounding area.
Bryan gave us a super tour. Very knowledgable of the area. Courteous, and gave us extra time for pictures and questions. We will definitely arrange another tour with him when back. Highly recommended, get out of the casino and get some Utah/ Nevada fresh air with Bryan!

You may be inclined to pass right through the Wendover area, but do yourself a favor and stop at this visitors center to enjoy a little history of the area. It goes back to the time of Wendover AFB, where training occurred for the ending of WWII. There are lots of great photos and interesting artifacts, giving you a real sense of the times. The folks are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. It's not your regular "travel through" resting place and you'll enjoy spending an hour to give yourself a stretch break. I give them an A+ and highly recommend it.

Didn't get to golf as there was snow. I can't wait to come back in the summer and give it a whirl. I don't know how I'm supposed to put 50 characters here when I don't have 59 characters to say. It was winter, there was snow. I didn't get to golf.

Having stayed at the Nugget in Vegas and Laughlin, do not mistake this Nugget as being a part of that chain. This casino looks nice from the street but, going inside, it is dark, dated and simply, dirty. We walked through the hotel portion, dirt, cigarette butts, etc were on the woodwork. The chairs had cigarette burn holes everywhere. Do not stay here or play here.
