Vietri sul Mare ("Vietri on the Sea") is a town and comune in the province of Salerno, in the Campania region of southern Italy. It is situated just west of Salerno, separated from the Port of Salerno by only a harbour wall. The town is known for its polychrome ceramics, a tradition since at least the 15th century, and is considered to be the gateway to the Amalfi Coast.

Treat yourself to a special day or evening inside a boutique organic vineyard along the spectacular Amalfi Coast. Tour the vineyards with the sommelier, wine taste with the winemaker, and feast on a seasonal meal made from fresh local ingredients all while overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy a truly unique Italian experience.
Le Vigne di Raito is amazing! The three of us agree that this was the best experience of our trip. Our guide Alfonso was so charming and incredibly knowledgeable about wine and about the history of the winery and the area in general. Patrizia is simply beautiful inside and out. Her food is to die for! We highly recommend a trip to this winery for anyone visiting the Amalfi coast. It's a must see (and eat and drink) experience!

This is a great place you must visit while in Vietre Sul Mare. The paintings and ceramics are original and gorgeous!! Very unique and so much better than the mass produced items at other shops. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. We bought as much as we could carry home with us on the plane! We will definitely be ordering more from home:) This shop is easily reached on foot from piazza Vietre and absolutely worth checking out. We loved it!

This was a pleasant, relaxing place to admire the view, sit down with a drink, or admire the ceramic workmanship of the railings and steps.

We went twice in what was the start of the off season so the mass crowds were not there. Easy access from Vietri with a large parking lot. He had nice chairs and unbrellas that were cheaper and in better condition than his neighbor. He is right against the rocks so swimming around them is easier to get to than the spots down the beach. He did not have any food or drinks but that was probably due to the season. He was starting to winterize. He speaks perfect English so for us that was a plus. The beach was clean. From what we saw Vietri was a great place to enjoy the coast, not as difficult to get to as other places.

During our brief visit inside the church we enjoyed watching a local school group receiving a lesson from the priest, we enjoyed contemplating the statue of Christ after the crucifixion, and we wondered about the blank panels in the ornate frames in the ceiling. What caught our eye, and is visible from much of town, is the brightly tiled dome exterior; this pay homage to the local history of ceramic craftsmanship.

A perfect place to take a break if you are travelling along the Amalfi coast. You will learn about the ceramics and it's history in the region (spoiler alert: the craft was introduced by foreigners) and you will enjoy a nice scenic walk among the buildings. There's not too much to see, but that's why you'll find it refreshing. Just bring a panino and a drink with you as there's no bar or restaurant on site or in the vicinity.

Absolutely lovely family that made our stay extra special. Beautiful private beach and balcony. You do have to walk up and down a lot of stairs so it's easier with light luggage/back pack. We found it easier to get a taxi to the town but we did walk if you don't mind the lack of pavements. They left us lovely pasta Ingredients and helped us settle in! Really great romantic atmosphere.

Consigliato.
