Exhibits, operating oil field machinery and historic buildings honoring the beginning of the modern oil industry.
Highly recommend! Even if you are not interested in the subject matter it is a cool place to visit. Beautiful part of the state of Pa. 10 miles west of the beginning of the Allegheny National Forest. Wonderful new and expanded museum at the site, loaded with artifacts and history of oil and the striking of oil in 1859 at the site. Tons of artifacts on the outdoor grounds of the site also, including an exact reproduction of the original Drake engine house and derrick. All in a "park-like" setting. About 15 miles north of Oil City, Pa., at Titusville, Pa.
