We arrived about 15 minutes before scheduled closing but the friendly volunteer in attendance was happy to let us roam the museum, machinery sheds and outdoor exhibits. Outstanding museum, very well curated, much of the old machinery restored, excellent displays, an absolute credit to everyone involved. The museum building was Morawa's first police station, courthouse and lockup dating to 1937, donated to the Society and relocated to its present site in 1975. Such a variety of artefacts in the collection;' posters, old cameras, containers, photographs, traps, tilly lamps, assorted machinery and implements and an impressive display of windmills. Our volunteer kept us informed throughout with his encyclopedic knowledge and enthusiasm.

Warm welcome from the lady on duty, probably a little take aback when we told her that we were "wild flowered out", but didn't blink and provided a surfeit of advice and directions so that we could view the historical sights and landmarks of the area. Very good selection of souvenirs and giftware and I added to my magnet collection.
