Historic Little Italy is located on the east side of Cleveland. Check out the website for more info.
This is not a "touristy" Italian neighborhood but one in which the visitor shares the authentic lifestyle of the local residents. You cannot go wrong at any eating establishment and visiting Presti's bakery is a must. This area has been settled by Italians for well over 100 years and authenticity permeates the entire neighborhood. Although many natives have married and moved to the suburbs, many return to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption in the middle of August each year to renew acquaintances and celebrate the best of the neighborhood's food and history.

The Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque is one of the country's best repertory movie theaters, proclaimed by The New York Times. Founded in 1986, the alternative film theater shows art, independent, and foreign films as well as revived classics. The Cinematheque offers discounted tickets to all CIA students and contributes to the richness of the college's public programming in the arts.
John Ewing programs films at both the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cinematheque... and does a phenomenal job of covering every genre! Pre-code? Check! Silent classics? Check! Experimental? Check! Musicals? Check! Foreign films... independent films... you name it, it will eventually show up on the screen. You can check out the website for current listings and also submit your email address to get weekly updates. The theatre itself is quite comfortable with the ability to show both film and digital. Parking is ample, and now that construction is winding up at the CIA campus, easy to find. You're in the the Uptown District of Cleveland (near Case Western), so you'll find a number of fast food places and bars for food and/or drink.

Modern and accessible space. This museum has continuous visiting exhibitions, as it is not a collections museum. The space lends itself to sweeping and *big* visiting exhibits. They take on 'edgy' topics. Free admission for locals. Easy walking distance to University Circle and Uptown districts.
