We are craft cidermakers, trading from our working farm just outside of Langport. You will be made most welcome to visit us at the "shack"where you you can simply come and sit down for a drink or two from our fully stocked bar with something for everyone. If you are unable to stay for a while, we have a shop where you are able to sample and buy from our Range of Award Winning Ciders, Apple Juice, Cider Vingear, Locally made Jams, Marmalade, Chutney, Honey, Various Cheeses, Eggs and other seasonal produce. We have recently opened a cafe/bar which serves delicious home made cakes, bacon baps and coffee daily from 10am and delicious lunches including cheese or ham ploughman’s or panini’s, we have a fully licensed bar which is open daily also.
During our trip to Somerset we decided to visit a cider manufacturer and this one topped the reviews and now we know why. Jim and his lovely wife were most welcoming and we were told the history of Bere Cider. We sampled their products which is like the cider I remember before the modern stuff was pumped out into the pubs and supermarkets! They also sell cheese, butter and other grocery bits. They have tables outside where we safely enjoyed a bottle of cider in the sun. A great place to visit if you are in the area and no need to book.

Welcoming, friendly service at this bike rental place on the River Parrett. We rented two adult bikes, a tag-along and a kids bike and all were decent bikes. Great cycling nearby near the river and down country lanes on the Somerset Cider Trail. Lovely pubs to stop at en route. Recommended.

Built c.1640 this traditional pub has remained in the same family for over 150 years. Affectionately known as Eli's by locals after the current owners' grandfather. Beautiful thatched building with flagstone floors and unusual as it has no bar. You will find a warm welcome, a good selection of real ales, farmhouse cider and hearty home cooked food. There is a large car park, beer garden, skittle alley, pool table and juke box. Regular live music events and a monthly quiz night. Visit our Facebook page for details of events.
Splendid pub. A delightful historic building with nice beers and a warm welcome. Ignore the childish one star review.

Shakspeare Glass & Arts combines the factory shop and studio with an inspiring gallery displaying an ever changing range of local and national artists and craftsmen. Enjoy a coffee and locally made cakes; let the world float by out on our decking over the River Parrett, watch our glass blowers when they are huffing and puffing or sit and relax in the gallery. We have our own private free car park, dogs on leads are welcome and we are right on the river walk. Come and explore! Generally open Sundays and bank holidays Spring-Summer. Please check!
Lots of lovely studio glass to consider alongside a gallery selling a variety of other top quality handcrafted treasures. Whilst you ponder your purchases you can relax with a cuppa and slice of handmade cake on the terrace overlooking the river. Perfect. The only difficulty is limiting what you take home with you.

Fantastic cider, wide range to choose from, still, fizzy, dry, medium, sweet and fruit cider. The farm shop allows to stop for a drink, tasters available before buying. Lovely gift packs available and farm cider tours. We will be back :)

Small reserve but perfectly formed. Nice easy walk, very accessible for children, older family members and hose on wheels. Two good hides both with a great view over extensive bodies of water. A lovely touch is the little bird table by the car park which meant on arrival we were greeted by our favourites, swarms of finches and tits, birds having a dust bath on the path. A good view of starlings doing their thing over the back of the lake too. Good for children who like watching birds. But no facilities or toys to play with for younger ones.
