Fabulous lunch on the patio! Our server Andrew made great recommendations. Cod from Lake Erie, Beef burger, Loaded potato soup and lots of vegetarian options. The winner was dessert. Homemade raspberry ice cream sandwich with fudge brownie and strawberries. Followed up with a float plane tour of Rice Lake. Such a lovely time. Thank you!!!

Experience Peterborough County's history come to life! Lang Pioneer Village Museum is located just 10 minutes east of Peterborough on the shores of the Indian River. Established in 1967, the Museum features over 30 restored and recreated buildings. Costumed interpreters demonstrate the life and trades of the First Nations and settlers in the 1800s. The Village is complete with lanes and pathways, farm animals, vegetable and herb gardens and other authentic details of a 19th-century hamlet. The Museum is open from Father's Day to Labour Day and seasonally for special events and facility rentals. It's where history is happening safely!
Fun guided tour with lots of information to help you imagine the life of a pioneer. You see a school house, general store, blacksmith shop, etc. You also see the progression of a home as pioneers raised families and communities started to grow - after people were able to survive the winters.

We were amazed at the scenery when we arrived at the resort. picturesque landscape wide ranging views of beautiful rice lake. We were very happy with our accommodation. Kailee in operations was most helpful with any questions we had regarding our cottage. The golf course is a challenging layout; however, it is very private and is the perfect 'get away' without traveling too far out of the city. we enjoyed 3 days of golfing, Scott at the clubhouse was wonderful and ensured that we were taken care of during our stay. Next time I will bring the entire family to take advantage of the resorts many amenities and natural activities, such as the pool, beach or boating. Cant wait to come back!
