Great park for kids, couple of areas so make sure to wander. Toilets are the other side of the car park. Lots of exercise equipment and stunning trees. So quiet and peaceful so close to town. My girls (8&6) loved it.

Chateau de Josselin

Josselin castle, a visit not to be missed ... Imagine a fairytale castle, whose tree majestic toweres dominate the river below. Concealed behind the massive fortress walls you will find the exquisite, flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance facade of a ducal palace. Here the very history of Brittany was forged. It is a place of legend and magic. Still the home of the Rohan family after 1000 years, in the public rooms restored in the 19th century, you will see a unique collection of furniture and paintings.

We have been looking for a Chateau to visit that fitted with our travel plans and that was open for the time of year. We weren’t disappointed, the tour was in French but we were given a very good translation guide. The tour guide was very good, an awful amount of history has happened in and around this fine building. Stunning location, well worth a visit.
