Three attractions to choose from Mild to Wild including one of the Longest, Highest and Fastest Zipline Tours in North America, the Skyrider Tour. The Skyrider begins with 3,200ft dual ziplines at over 600ft above the canopy! This extreme activity is Not for Everyone! Our Mid-Mountain tour is slightly more mild, zipping from tree to tree within the canopy. This activity is fun for the whole family and a great place to take your first zipline adventure. Our zipline tours last approximately 3 hours and are lead by professionaly trained (and very entertaining) tour guides. Weight and hight restrictions apply, reservations are required.
This place is amazing! My husband and I paid for the SkyRider tour. I chickened out at the last minute and they were SOOOO nice and patient about it. My husband however did it and LOVED it! He said that it was the best zipline experience ever (and he has ziplined over a waterfall in Honduras)! The views are breathtaking and make for some great photo ops! The staff is soooo nice! Greg has the best jokes! They have the best customer service we have ever experienced! Even the car ride to Hunter Mtn is so nice. We pulled over and took several pictures! They definitely have a special thing going on there!

Maybe it's more lively in ski season, but in October Tannersville is a pretty dreary place. But the Hudson Chatham tasting room is an oasis figuratively and literally. The staff was fun and knowledgeable and made for a great visit. There is not much else in town so it made for nice find.

Popular ski resort providing excellent runs and trails for downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing and snowshoeing.
When you're not there to ski consider hiking the trails. Its 2 miles and an 800 foot climb to the summit of the mountain where there's a fire tower with the best view in the Catskills. The ski lift runs weekends from Memorial Day until mid October and weekdays in the summer. Check the schedule online. On weekends from Memorial Day to Columbus Day the tower observation cab and the fire observers cabin are open to the public and volunteers are there to answer questions and point out the sights from the tower. The mountain has over 15 miles of beautiful marked trails for hiking. Great place to visit.....even if ski season is over.

The Pro Ski And Ride is a specialty ski shop in Hunter, NY that was established adjacent to Hunter Mountain in 1993. We provide our skiers and snowboarders of all abilities with a wide range of products and services to meet any need. Ski and snowboard rental services are also available for daily, multi-day or seasonal rental at affordable rates.
Went to get custom foot-beds / orthotics for a new pair of Lang RX130s, Keith did a very nice job taking out the volume of my high arch and checking alignment and basic mechanics. He stands behind his work and will adjust as needed after I ski them. I like that approach, not much you can learn walking about in the shop despite what other "boot-fitters" have tired in the past. I saw him helping other customers as well and it's conspicuous that he is focused on satisfaction not sales.

A resort spa located in the Kaatskill Mountain Club on Hunter Mountain. We provide massage, body treatments, facials, waxing and nail services. The spa is open to all guests of Hunter Mountain.
We visited the spa this past Saturday. 7 Women--we booked facials and/or massages. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and we enjoyed our treatments! Katherine -who manages the spa, was terrific---made us feel very welcome. We spent the day----using the heated pool, jacuzzi, exercise equipment, sauna and steam room. We enjoyed appetizers from the restaurant and service from there was wonderful as well! Our server Amber took the time to chat with us and make us feel welcome. It is a small spa, but had everything we needed! We will certainly be back!

Lots of folks come to Hunter to be outdoors but sometimes you just need a little indoor activity. This is a great stop for that. The art shows are always of good calibre frequently with local artists of some renown. The gift shop area has local crafts people with some very nice pottery and weaving.
The bookstore offers a selection of local interest, some of which are NOT available on AMAZON.
In the same building is a nice small restaurant and bathroom facilities. So stop in when you are passing through, or when its too rainy to be outside.

We came to Hunter Mountain to get in some hiking, horse backing riding and fly fishing on our way to visit family in New Jersey. We were pleasantly surprised with the Orvis fly fishing school there and had a great time learning how to fly fish. We had a party of four including my two kids age 10 and 12. Our guides Erwin and Doug did a nice job with the kids insuring they stayed with them until they could do their cast on their own. They took us to an area that you really cannot access unless you’re with a licensed guide and it was picture perfect. To find yourself halfway submerged in water as the sun is setting against the mountains and the beaver swimming all around you while you throw those long skillful casts which you just learned in order to catch the big one that is taunting you 40 ft away is just a satisfying experience. I did not want to stop and even though it got dark, they patently waited for me to realize it was time to go home!
We rented the equipment, including waders from Mary at the Orvis shop and they fitted us there to insure we had perfect fits. I learned how to throw a nice fly fishing “cast” in our ½ day lesson and I can you that I am now hooked! What better way to learn fly fishing then at the birthplace of fly fishing in the Catskills and by such a wonderful fly fishing school at Hunter Mountain. I highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn the art of fly fishing and am within 2 hours of NY City! Ask for Erwin or Doug and you will be very satisfied. We were.
