Gros Islet, on the northern tip of St. Lucia, is a blossoming destination, at once remote and exciting. The best way to explore the shoreline may be Island Riders, where riding veterans and beginners alike can trot along on horseback and chat with the locals. The Jump Up street party, perhaps the most recognized of the town's attractions, is also a must for a taste of Gros Islet's unique blend of food and music.

My son (11 y.o.) was stressed at the beginning but the two guys have very secure and friendly approach and the whole experience was very positive. My kid is hooked now, I have to think about quiver for him.....

New to our cafe is a daily lunch of curried chicken, lamb, beef or vegetarian A water front casual dining experience in Thursdays for fish and chips, yes with malt vinegar but no mushy peas. High tea is also an option but we ask for a booking 48hrs in advance. in addition, We have now added a room for visitors on airbnb https://abnb.me/EVmg/LPYyD5f79J and an apartment https://abnb.me/EVmg/LE6Gevn79J We look forward to your visit very soon.
We arrived in St Lucia on Thursday and the sign for the fish and chip night grabbed our attention.
We were the first people in so hoped we'd picked somewhere good, it was a lovely scenic place to sit and chill and I fell in love with some nice but sadly pricey paintings.
People began to turn up in droves so things looked promising and indeed it was a great experience, the fish and chips were spot on and the rum cake a real delight - it's similarity to British treacle pudding brought back childhood memories :-)
The ladies there do a great job, the only improvement could be a few extra members of staff as they have a hell of a job to do to serve everyone.
I'd happily come here again and recommend :-)

We booked a hike up Mt Pimard through Sandals Regency LaToc. We were not disappointed at all. Our tour guide, “Keyes” was extremely informative and explained the history of the mountain and took time to show us local vegetation along the way. The views were amazing and we even enjoyed a glass of rum punch at the end of the hike at a local bar on the beach at the foot of the mountain. This was a fairly strenuous hike at certain points. Wear good shoes and be ready to work your way up. We would totally do this again.

What Is Ayurveda Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India and the oldest system of Health Care in the world. A system of both preventative and curative medicine, it has been practiced for at least 5000 years and perhaps as long as 10,000 years. Ayurveda understands that each person is unique and as a result, each person's path toward optimal health is unique. "Nothing is right for everyone, everything is right for someone, Ayurveda is a path of understanding what is right for you". Ayurveda helps individuals to know what types of food, colors, aromas, sounds and touch will create a state of balance and harmony in the body and mind. When the body and mind are in harmony, normal physiology is restored and healing takes place. Ayurveda defines physiology in terms of three forces called doshas. The three doshas are vata, pitta and kapha. Vata governs the physiology of motion in the body. Pitta governs the physiology of metabolism. Kapha governs the physiology of structure. Each person has all three of these doshas with them. The balance of these three doshas at the moment of conception defines what Ayurveda calls one's constitution or "prakruti". These doshas also fluctuate in accordance with how we live our lives and as they increase or decrease they cause different conditions in the body and mind. This is called "vikruti". The goal of Ayurveda is to restore the proper balance of these physiological forces . This is accomplished by utilizing one's senses properly and living a healthy lifestyle. Ayurveda utilizes diet, colors, aromas, sounds and touch to restore balance. In addition, Ayurveda is one of the most advanced herbal sciences in the world. Herbal medicine plays an important role in Ayurveda. Other tools often used by the Ayurvedic Practitioner include: Yoga, Meditation, Purification Programs (Pachakarma) and Lifestyle Counseling. Ayurveda and Yoga Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences that synergistically complement one another, increasing each other's benefits. The Raj offers guests a daily Yoga class, with a simple set of postures that are appropriate for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Regular practice of these postures can help eliminate stress, develop flexibility, improve sleep, balance digestion, and deepen the experience of silence and expansion of consciousness. What is Yoga? While Yoga has become household word, most people are unaware of what Yoga really is. Yoga is more than an ancient form of exercise that tones the body and promotes health and well-being. The Sanskrit word Yoga means "union" and refers to the union of the individual self with the higher Self. Yoga means the experience of pure consciousness, the unified, transcendental field of intelligence deep within. Yoga provides technologies to enable one to dive within and enjoy that experience. The original role of the physical poses of Yoga was to prepare the body for meditation. The poses enliven the connection between mind and body, consciousness and physiology. Done correctly and without effort, Yoga poses help dissolve stress and enliven mind-body coordination to support the expansion of consciousness.

Located on the the Northwest coast of St. Lucia, on the popular Reduit Beach, Splash Island is the Caribbean's first open-water sports park. Opening in August 2015, Splash Island will be located in front of the multi-award-winning Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa located in Rodney Bay Village, Gros Islet, St. Lucia. A WIBIT SPORTS PARTNER Splash Island is an inflatable water park manufactured by Wibit Sports GmBH a German Water Sports company who has been producing commercial grade inflatable water sports products for over 18 years. Wibit products can be found in over 200 locations around the world, but Splash Island is the first in the Eastern Caribbean. FUN IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT Kids, families and weekend warriors alike will delight in this Caribbean water park's many obstacle-course style features. Splash Island St. Lucia's features include a trampoline, climbing wall, monkey bars, a swing, a slide, hurdles, double rocker, flip, and water volleyball. See Gallery. The water park is in compliance with the strictest of European safety requirements (EN 15649) and testing related to materials and performance. The Water Park is staffed by a team of certified lifeguards. All users of the water park (who must be 6 years of age and older) will be required to wear life vests irrespective of their swimming abilities.
When I have been to or seen other water parks - they are on land. The Splash Island Water Park is in front of the Bay Gardens Beach Resort and it's a ton of fun. First, you swim out to the water park and then you navigate from one floating part to the next. Staying on the floats isn't all that easy as the ocean moves with the waves. It's a blast and safe as there is almost always 3 life guards on duty.

Went to the jump up a week last friday (9th march) we were 3 males in our 40s.
We started off drinking in a few of the rum shacks on the street near the speakers also some of the pop up bars which where ridiculously overpriced and got offered a variety of drugs off each one ,on our way home at the end of the evening , walking back towards the police station on the main road there were 2 of us left (We had temporarily lost our other friend ) as we were walking past a small wooded area a guy jumped out and grabbed me by the neck and pulled me into the forest, my friend immediately jumped in and helped me fight off the attackers which numbered 4 people.
They didn't manage to steal anything from me but stole about 130 ec dollars from my mate. We eventually stood our ground and offered them out ,one on one which they couldn't handle and we chased them away. COWARDS
I ended up with a broken nose and a badly bruised elbow, my mate ended up with black eyes and a cut nose and various scratches and bruises.
Why they tried it on with us in will never know as I am 6ft 2 inch and 16 stone and can handle myself.
My friend can also handle himself.
Only by the grace of God, they didn't have knives !!
we then went to a bar further up the street to clean up, the lady who ran the bar called the police THEY NEVER CAME .
I never saw a police officer all night long.
We never caused any hassle to anyone during the night.
Do yourself a favour and stay away, this was our 1st night out in st lucia and one I won't forget.
Message to you cowards who attacked us ;
You are letting the good people of Saint lucia down, get a job , stay off the drugs and learn to respect others ---COWARDS----
I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN SAINT LUCIA AGAIN.
PSl this happened at 1am in the morning

Pigeon Islands official moniker.
Arrived at Pigeon Island National Landmark and entered through gate. If you want to spend your time on the beach you can pay for lounge chair and umbrella if you want them. Our admittance to the park was already paid. Two main attractions are the beach or Fort Rodney I started out by hiking up to the fort on a well-marked and wide, groomed trail. Stopped at the Signal Station, which was used during WWII before continuing to the top. To get into the fort, at the top, you do have to climb a steep set of wooden stairs. Once on the top you have a view of the pitons to the south and, on a clear day, Martinique to the north. Came down and went to Jambe de Bois Restaurant & Bar by the beach. Offer sandwiches and light snacks in addition to beverages. Sit on porch on
rustic wooden furniture or inside at more conventional tables and chairs. Prices are reasonable. There is a second restaurant on the north side of the park. Both offer free Wi-Fi. Showers and washrooms are available for those wishing to use the beach. The beach is sandy and in a protected cove, not subject to strong waves. We took the tour directly from our ship. You could get a cab or rent a vehicle. Takes less than a half hour from the cruise terminal.
